This weekend was all about birthdays! On Friday night, we celebrated my friend (& co-worker’s) birthday by getting together for happy hour at Gatsby’s. I got to spend time with people I hadn’t seen in a long time and missed a whole lot and also got to drink $2 Blue Moon’s. I was a happy camper! We then moved the party to the Kendall Ale House for a couple more beers and good times. I’m pretty sure the party kept moving along, but we got off the train after the Ale House (ah, being old).
After (barely) recovering from Friday night’s beer binge, I made sure to take a nap so I could head to my friend, Will’s, birthday party in the Grove at a new place I had never been to, Crazy Pianos. Oh my, was that place fun! Any kind of live music really gets me excited, but this place was extra special. We had our own table by the stage and even our own personal keg! Best part? If it is your birthday, you get 2 gallons of beer for the price of one to put into that keg for your own personal merriment. Pretty outstanding, huh? I was totally impressed by the place and loved the rowdy energy from everyone in the crowd. If you like drunken and obnoxious sing-a-longs, you will love this place just as much as I did. Definitely a front runner for my own birthday party this summer!
Also, the highlight of the evening was when my purse got caught on some dude’s zipper. I know, how the hell does that happen? I’m not quite sure but it figures it would happen to me. The part that made it even more amazing was the look on his face when he realized what was happening. Classic. I wish I had some sort of photo or video evidence to share with you all, but you are going to just have to take my word. Although I did have a witness 😉
Hope you guys survived the weekend and good luck getting through the week!
Only 4 more days until the weekend comes back to say hello! 😀
