There are five love languages that people tend to correspond with. One of those glorious languages is gift-giving.
Some people fall into this category, and they just know how to give gifts that matter. It’s how they express their love and what makes sense to them.
But what if you don’t fall into this category? How can you always be sure that you are going to give gifts that mean the most?

By leveling up your gift-giving.
When you watch someone open up a gift that you have spent time carefully choosing, and you can see the joy on their faces, it can be a completely gratifying experience.
Use what you know
The check-mate of giving a great gift is that you use how much you know the person when getting their gift arranged. When you give gifts to friends and family, you need to make sure that you show how important they are to you.
It sounds simple, but sometimes what we think someone wants and needs isn’t what they want and need.
How can you make sure that you get it right? By listening to what they are saying. During a conversation, we act before we think and before we have processed what they are saying. Active listening will mean that you pick up what they are really saying.
If they are talking about a particular author, then seek out their newest book or pre-order a special edition. Hear them mention that they have been listening to a Podcast a lot, trying to find more about the artist, and having other channels, merchandise, or public appearances.
A little time, some active listening, and Google can help you put together a very special gift.
Make it
Literally, make the gift if you can. If not, then there are millions of talented people on the planet who can make what you are thinking about. If you are really set on creating the item yourself, then you can check out YouTube for some great tutorials for almost anything you can think of.
Usually, handmade and personalized things hold a huge amount of sentimental value and cannot be beaten or replaced in terms of gifting.

Help them grow
Almost everyone is on a journey of growth or learning. It might be as simple as learning to cross-stitch, or it might be that they want to get their business up and running and need help with courses and tools.
Everyone’s journey is different, and that is why this gift can be amazing. Although, it still comes down to what they need and listening to how you can help them.
Everyone has a personal mission that will help them feel content or push for their growth; finding a way to support that is a big thing.
The art of excellent gift-giving becomes much easier when you set aside the idea of going to the biggest and the best and look for what will mean the most and who you are buying it for.
