This weekend was so much fun I could hardly stand it, but I didn’t expect anything less. It is no secret that I have a pretty serious love affair with Halloween and really enjoy dolling up for the festivities. Saturday night we had the annual AgencyNet Halloween party in their new digs. I finally unveiled my secret costume that I had been concealing for several months now – Maleficent! Thanks to the Academy of Glam, I was able to really perfect the look with some kick ass makeup. All other pieces were picked up randomly through Amazon stores and American Apparel. I’m really happy with the way the costume turned out and it was a little too fun to be evil for a night. Although, I have to admit that perfecting a villainous bitch face was tough!
Weekend Highlights: Halloween Edition
We are lucky enough to have an amazing Halloween party to attend every year thanks to Augi’s work, Agencynet. They always throw the best parties in general, but really take it to another level when Halloween rolls by. Augi and I tried our best to hide our costumes this year, but a few people may have figured it out. We decided several months ago to go as The Comedian and the Silk Spectre I from The Watchmen. I immediately knew that I would have to contact my friends at Terribly Girly Photography in order for the look to be perfected! I was able to book Jenn D., who is amazing (no joke), for both my hair and makeup and she rocked it! I can’t tell you how many people asked me if it was a hairpiece or a wig. They could not believe it was my real hair. I think we did a great job and so far it’s been my favorite Halloween costume ever. I actually wish I could wear my hair like that on the daily! I think I was born in the wrong era. 😉
I don’t want to leave Augi behind – he did a great job on his costume as well. Not pictured above is his cigar and eye mask, which really complete the outfit. My only complaint was that terrible mustache he had to rock for the week leading up to Halloween – I could barely look at him! But enough gushing, I’ll let some of the photos from the party speak for themselves!
Weekend Highlights!
I had a musical beginning to my weekend on Friday night thanks to my husband’s place of employment: Agency Net. Always a big fan of ANET events, I was really excited when they announced a karaoke night for employees and their significant others and friends. Although I really didn’t plan on singing (definitely not my strong point), I was having so much fun that I did partake in a few threesomes and group songs (although staying as far from the mic as possible). Don’t believe how hilarious & fun these people are? Check out the video under the jump:
