I’m pretty sure I’m the only female that does not become a drooling, blubbering piece of goo when I see pictures of David Beckham. In fact, I always tell the hubs that he reminds me of a pirate. Maybe it’s his squinty little eyes? Maybe it’s the fact that I have heard his speaking voice? Maybe the problem is that I am looking at his face. Yep. That must be it.
Happy Hump Day: Alex Pettyfer
You guys. I saw Magic Mike a couple of weeks ago and I have to admit: I wasn’t all that floored with Channing Tatum. I could honestly do without him. Who really caught my attention? Alex Pettyfer. I had always heard his name thrown around, but I really didn’t know what he looked like. I guess I imagined a little blonde teeny bopper. Not this. And then I found out he was British. Well, that’s entirely not fair. Good job on this one, higher ups. I approve.
Happy Hump Day {Role Reversal}: Daisy Lowe
Remember the scandalous scandal that was Pearl Lowe and Gavin Rossdale’s love child? Everyone was flipping their lids and just wouldn’t drop it, despite the kid being a teenager and it happening way before Gavin was with Gwen, let alone knew her. But…I digress. What resulted from that tumultuous 80’s relationship was Daisy, a British model that is known best for showing off her tatas (none pictured, sorry guys) and dancing in lingerie for Esquire (video is hypnotizing, don’t really know why). And I like her. She seems like the type of chick that would be a great dancing/drinking partner, and I’m always looking for some of those. Please send all resumes to meli@melificent.com. 😉
Happy Hump Day: Aidan Turner
I started watching SyFy’s Being Human when it first premiered with pretty high hopes since I had heard the British version was amazing. Unfortunately, it didn’t really work for me and I often found myself bored or disinterested in the storyline as well as with the characters. After a few episodes, I quit and no longer watched. It wasn’t until recently that I decided to give the Brit version a go and oh my, am I ever glad I did. The hubs and I are now certifiably hooked with all 3 past seasons on Netflix instant. One particular draw (aside from a much more believable cast and script) is the Irish hottie mchottiepants, Aidan Turner, who plays the UK’s irresistible vampire, Mitchell. And even better? I just discovered he will be playing the young dwarf, Kili, in The Hobbit films. Score.
Happy Hump Day: Hugh Grant
My friend used to pose a question to all girls he met, “Ewan McGregor or Hugh Grant?” He believed that this would lend some insight into their personality, but eventually became a source of frustration. Why, you ask? Well, because he realized every single girl he encountered would reply with Hugh Grant. He just couldn’t understand why. I always told him that it was his boyish charm that won us ladies over (despite that pesky arrest for lewd behavior). Since those college days, he has moved out of Florida and we don’t keep in touch steadily, but I do wonder if he ever met a girl that replied Ewan.
Since you all know what I answered, what would you?
