Pretty in Oscar

I’m going to have to forego posting about my weekend this Monday so that I can pay homage to the Oscars Red Carpet – afterall, I know celebrity gawking and gossip is way more entertaining than my own life, right? Right.

I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with the level of glamor this year at the Oscars. It seemed like everyone was “playing it safe” when it came to their gown choice. Everyone’s outfits kind of resembled dresses I would see being worn at any black tie wedding. I mean, I’m sure they are thousands of dollars more, but you get me?

Although there weren’t many, here are my favorites from the night:

Happy Hump Day!

I have to admit that this post is kind of a cop out as it’s an oldie from my previous blog, but it’s just so great that I can’t leave it out of this one. Better known to some as Mr. Gwen Stefani, I have had a pretty intense love affair with Gavin since I was 14 years old. Unfortunately, it has only gotten worse with age and is pretty pathetic. I support him in whatever he may do, even if it is coming out with some pretty “pop-gay” material. I think he is the most beautiful man on the planet (aside from my hubs, of course). And how much do I love him playing Mr. Mom in this photo? Well, maybe only a little bit more than I love the gun show on display 😉

My lovely friend sent me a link to this video earlier this week & I figured I would
share it with all of you. She knows I have a long standing Elijah Wood crush &
although I loved the fact that he was in it, I’m happy it turned me on to a new
artist & amazing new song to love.

I also love that this was shot at Galco’s Soda Pop Shop in Los Angeles, a store
devoted to carrying rare glass-bottled sodas. It sounds like a place that I would
love to visit.
