It’s hard to believe that Fandom of the Month Club has already been around for a year! It’s even harder to believe that I’ve been with them since {nearly} the beginning. I think I jumped on board the 3rd box, and have been hooked ever since. Sure, some months have not corresponded to my fandoms, but it’s always nice when I’m able to gift an entire set to a friend (and that’s only happened twice). This month, the team was teasing a bigger and better set with it being their anniversary and all. I was so incredibly excited to see what goodies it would hold and I was not disappointed.
First off, all the pieces were for fandoms I adore, so that made me grin from ear to ear. There was a TARDIS ring, dragon stud earrings, a mockingjay keychain, Harry Potter charm bookmark, and my personal favorite: a LOST necklace. I had such a ridiculous fangirl moment when I saw it – and it’s commemorating one of the most gut-wrenching scenes with my favorite character. I’m not joking when I say I may wear it every day. Erin mentioned that she would love to do an entire LOST themed set, but she didn’t think that it would be received well. That makes my heart so sad. I would absolutely LOVE to see what she would curate – can you imagine a DriveShaft ring?
Everything included was awesome, except I have to admit that I was a little confused by the bookmark. I actually had no idea what it was when I initially opened it. My husband and I racked our brains trying to figure it out, and it wasn’t until someone commented on the official Instagram that I found out it was a very elaborate bookmark. This is the one item I was a little disappointed in. Sure, it is absolutely gorgeous, but it’s very heavy and I don’t think very practical to actually be used as a bookmark. Again, the charms are so beautiful, I would have liked to see them be used for something like a charm bracelet. Now that would have looked killer.
Overall, I was really happy and know I’ll be sticking with this subscription service for the long haul!
