Ever sit back and realize that things are really good at the moment? I mean, things are always hectic and my life will never be chilled and calm due to family health issues, but recently I have really felt like my routine is solid and things are so good. I think it’s important to reflect and really take in the peace when you feel it because lord knows life can take drastic turns when you least expect it. Right now? I’m real happy. And whenever I feel that, I like to put it out into the universe and appreciate it because I think it’s a pretty special thing, to be happy. Don’t you?
The Purple WOman
You are probably aware at this point that I have a slight David Tennant obsession. It started way back when (seriously, I don’t even know when), and have loved all his characters ever since. Needless to say, I think he was great in Jessica Jones as the not-so-nice Purple Man, and am beyond hyped to see that he will be making a return in one way or another in this new season (which drops this week – gah!). I wanted to style an outfit around his super-suave purple ensembles for both the premiere and this month’s Geeky Fashion Bloggers Alliance challenge (Marvel Villains). Fun fact? As I was going down the escalator in the Hilton at San Diego Comic Con, David Tennant was chilling down below. I went full freeze and could not bring myself to go up to him. Instead I stared like a creeper from a few feet away because that’s so charming and effective.
That’s me, folks. That’s me.

Museum of Ice Cream Miami
I’m sure this post needs no introduction. By now you have heard of The Museum of Ice Cream that is taking the States by storm. It’s a candy colored tribute to everyone’s favorite dessert (wait, what do you mean, it’s not everyone’s favorite?), and has turned into a Instagram sensation. Basically, it is so up my speed that it made me come out of hiding (kidding – not really?).
The hubs packed up his favorite camera, and we went on a very quick date night to visit the “museum” (it’s really an art exhibit) and then head right back home. I have to give him a huge high five for these shots. He nailed each and every one, and we still managed to have a blast together despite some long lines, obnoxious Instagrammers and “the rush” we now feel as parents to get back home.
The experience started off by getting your “ice cream fortune” read by this lovely little lady, and then you were on your way to 4 floors of different pastel colored rooms – each perfectly styled to make your Instagram shots look flawless. You also occasionally got some ice cream – none of which I could enjoy because – surprise! – I’m allergic to vanilla and that ish is in everything. No joke. But lets face it. No one was there for the actual ice cream.
I was pretty in love with my outfit for the event. I shopped on Nasty Gal for the first time during a killer after Christmas sale (still happening omg), and I am so freaking obsessed with their clothes and quality now. Consider me a loyal customer for life. I wanted to wear something that was fun, but that at the same time wouldn’t take away from the colorful backdrops. I think I did a pretty good job.

What I Wore: Disney Chic
GUYS.
I have such big news and it is so exciting.
I AM A DISNEYWORLD ANNUAL PASSHOLDER.
Who knew that this Universal loving soul would go #Disneyside.
Well, I did. Naturally. I think I’ve expressed how crazy my Disney love used to be when I was younger. I even wanted to work for Disney when I was a kid being an animator (I used to draw. A lot.). I chose going to Disney with my closest friends over having a quinces and my 21st birthday was Stitch themed (F growing up, amirite?).
But this right here is like a level up. I was a pass holder for Universal but literally the second I became one, I got pregnant so that was all over. This is the first time I feel like an elite member of a theme park and I am so absolutely excited to take advantage of it. The moment Luna was born I knew I wanted her to be a Disney kid. I grew up on Disney and I can honestly say that it molded me and taught me a lot of great things. The most important: to dream. I love Disney’s message and although I can have my gripes here and there, I am a huge supporter of the Mouse. So the love was reborn when she came into the picture.
And here we are.
Look forward to a lot of fun Disney style posts in the year to come, and a whole lot of magic.

What I Wore: Mom Life
I’m not going to lie. The past few weeks have been real difficult over on the Melificent side of the world. Lets not even touch on all the current events unfolding that have both simultaneously broken my heart and angered me down to my very core. Of course, when I put my situation next to all that, I am eternally grateful to be alive, healthy and surrounded by love. But guys. Sometimes momming ain’t easy. And it takes a village. And, well. Some of us don’t have that village. So it’s been lots of hustling on the job side, while balancing all our to-do’s and being there for little Luna. This mom is exhausted.
I had been complaining that I wasn’t looking very cute lately, as I have been leaning towards more of the mom uniform and less of the fashion blogger. But, this past weekend I decided to blend them both. And what do you know? You really can find comfort and style while running after a toddler. Who knew?
