Blink-182 was one of my favorite bands back in high school. I remember getting extremely upset when they became popular. I just wouldn’t have it – they were my little secret. After my senior year in high school, their popularity continued to snowball and are now known as one of the most successful American pop punk bands. Blink was led (& bass-ed) by cutie, Mark Hoppus, and although I was totally a Tom girl, I definitely swooned a time or two over Mr. Hoppus. He has those sweet boyish charms (well, aside from the dirty jokes and public farts) that tend to get us girls every time. Since my college days, Blink-182 has broken up, band members have formed side projects (+44 for Mark & drummer, Travis, and Angels & Airwaves for Tom), only for them to announce they were getting back together in 2009. The band is expecting to release their first album together in 8 years sometime this spring/summer. And aside from new music, Mark is also tackling hosting. He has his own show on Fuse, A Different Spin, where he showcases and interviews successful as well as emerging bands alongside co-host comedian, Amy Schumer. You’ve definitely come a long way from All the Small Things, sir.
