1. You get to be someone else for a day; as someone immersed in nerd culture, we often want to be swept away to another world. One we have read, seen on the big screen or just fantasized about in our minds. That’s why Halloween is so special – you actually get to do this! Now granted, for those of you that cosplay on the daily, this is no treat. But for a casual cosplayer like myself, I definitely love the ability to take on someone else’s looks, personality and swag for a night.

2. You can be as ridiculous as you want to be; there are no rules on Halloween, and I absolutely love it. You can dress up as silly, slutty or basic as you want. It’s a holiday all about fun, and who doesn’t revel in that?

As I mentioned earlier this week, there’s just something about this time of year that brings a spring to my step. Although we don’t have seasons here in Miami, there is definitely a different frame of mind (at least for me) and I’m going to try my best to transfer those feelings to 5 bullet points. 1. Pumpkin Everything! I absolutely love pumpkin flavored whatever. You name it, I’ll take 10 please. Confession: a few weeks ago I was already asking my local Cold Stone’s where their pumpkin flavored ice cream was because I took it as sacrilege that the month of September had started and I did not see any available (rest assured, it is now).

Must Have List: Fall

Although we don’t have seasons here in South Florida, it seems like Fall is in full swing for all the rest of you. Plus, us Floridians really love traveling during colder months so that we can experience it ourselves. For this reason, I thought it was necessary to feature some of this season’s must have looks. Sprightly: ShoeDazzle Review

I know I had already done a review for the ShoeDazzle service back when I received my first pair, but since I’ve been a member on the site for several months now, I thought my opinion would be more valuable this time around. I have to say that I have been pretty happy with the site. The older I get, the less time I want to spend in malls dealing with large quantities of frustrating people, so the fact that I can order a new pair of affordable and adorable shoes with just one click is so appealing. Plus, I was able to make some adjustments to my showroom and now am receiving way more fun selections, which was one of my main gripes.

Squeeworthy: Fall Booties

Fashion confession: I have thick legs. So thick that I often cannot fit in all those trendy, hot knee high boots. This has made me sad for a very long time. Sure, we don’t have a whole lot of “sweater weather” down here in Miami, but when we do, my footsies ache to wear a beautiful pair of boots. I guess you can blame it on the you always want what you can’t have theory. This is where booties come in to save the day – now these I can wear without a problem and they still have the look and feel of a good fall boot!
