What I Wore: Surprise Party

On Saturday, my hubby told me to get ready, bring a bikini and a big appetite. I was taken to breakfast at Palacio de los Jugos, an extremely popular Cuban market/juice bar in Miami, which was absolutely delicious and such a treat (we don’t have one nearby). Afterwards, the blindfold was presented and from that point forward, I had no idea where I was going or what was happening. To my total surprise, when the blindfold was removed, I was in front of some of my closest friends at one of their homes surrounded by the cutest party favors/supplies and gluten free snacks! I was blown away. I couldn’t even believe how quickly the time slipped by – I had such a good time. I feel so thankful that I have such amazing people in my life. So a huge thank you to everyone that made it possible – it was a very special day. 🙂

Nirvana tank; H&M
Maxi skirt; H&M
Sandals; GAP outlet
Earrings; Old Navy
Bracelets; gifted
Tote; Rachel G.

Because the details were blurry as to what was going to happen, I picked a comfy, but stylish outfit. I can’t tell you how much I love this Nirvana tank. It reminds me of my youth, and turning the big 3-0 and all, it was important to hang on to some of it, right? The maxi skirt, although as comfortable as all get out, was just too long – especially when attempting to walk while blindfolded (I’m sure everyone got a kick out of watching that mess). Looks like a little hemming is in my future!

ps; I am freshly blonde again! I decided to hold off on ginger-fying just a little longer. 😉

First, off, TRIPLE SURPRISE? Like three people were having a surprise party at once? That seems very difficult to plan – I am impressed. I’m glad you hung onto the dress – it is really cute! I bought a dress about 6 months ago that I am just now wearing this weekend for a wedding…it was one of those “Oh, I need to buy this cocktail dress b/c it is so pretty and on sale and HOW OFTEN do I wear cocktail dresses in real life? Aspirational shopping, I suppose.
