It’s over. Done. Finished.
I took my exam this morning, and whatever the results may be (I don’t find out for a couple of months), what’s important to me right now is that it is OVER. I can check it off and attempt to push it out of my mind for at least 6 more weeks and come back to the life of the living. I’ve missed sunshine, friends, DIY projects & the blog!

It begins today, leading straight through my exam.
I don’t usually ask for well wishes & that mumbo jumbo unless it’s serious.
& well…this is pretty serious.
I accept any kind of prayers, good vibes, lucky spells, etc. you are all willing to give.
Good news is that Melificent will be back up and running mid-next week!

Unfortunately, we had an odd number of participants, so I had to cancel myself out of the equation to match up everyone else. I won’t be participating in this swap, but hope to be able to the next time around when The Fashionable ESQ hosts!
Thanks to everyone that did show interest – I hope the more we do these, the more bloggers will want to participate. I really think it’s a fun way for all of us to bond and create relationships with each other. Plus, who doesn’t like gifts?

With all the stress of my exam, as well as additional (& unnecessary I may add) stressors bleeding into my day-to-day, my mood and judgement have been foggy. It’s been very easy to get caught up in the madness (mainly brought on by overthinking and catastrophizing in my case), and forget to stop and smell the roses. Sure, I did what many people would not. I decided to start from scratch, and I knew that would entail many a sacrifice, but my mental health has in many ways thanked me for it. I am happy. I love what I do. And I am making a difference. I can’t tell you how many amazing moments I have experienced in the last year while on the job – some even moving me to tears. How many people can say that about their job? I’m lucky.
I wish I could post as much as I want to, but right now I’m in the trenches of studying. I am at the critical less-than-2-weeks mark until my certification exam, which means I do little of anything except stare at words I hope will make more sense to me by January 31st.
Anywho, in an attempt to fill the void, here is a shot of our new console table (from West Elm found via Craigslist for a fraction of the cost) and it’s fun little new member, Ollie the Octopus (just made that up on the spot), who was rescued from a life in ZGallerie captivity. Isn’t he sweet? We hope to continue filling up the table with more fun, Sanchez-like decor pieces – along with the rest of the house! Baby steps for now 😉
