Balloons. I love them to an unnatural degree. Big ones, little ones & everything in between. I’m always on the hunt for unique balloons to add that special touch to an event and these are absolutely wonderful! Best part is that they are from the ultimate cheap party resource: Oriental Trading!!!! Making note….now.
Every now and then you need a nice reset button: a day spent with family, catching up and realizing what is important in life. It also helped that it was a gorgeous day in South Florida: crisp and cool – something we don’t get to experience a whole lot of. I probably should have worn some pants, but I couldn’t resist this new striped maxi skirt – sorry guys, but I plan on wearing this every day. Deal with it. 😉

I hate to be so cliche, but I love me some Jennifer Lawrence. Sure, so does the rest of the world, but I’m pretty sure she’s my best friend in hiding. I mean, the world may implode if we meet so it’s best if we keep things this way, right? Obviously. But in all seriousness, this chick is amazing. Not only can she act like a boss, but she is charming, hysterical and geeky all at once. All it takes is a quick search for “Jennifer Lawrence gifs” to instantly fall in love. That love naturally amplified to an all-time high when she took a tumble at the Oscars, gave the finger to a photographer who mocked her for it and completely lost her shit when Jack Nicholson recognized her.
She is the epitome of imperfection and that’s kind of what makes her perfect.
I was so beyond flattered and surprised to get an email from Emma of Clementine & Lace saying that she had nominated me for a Very Inspiring Blogger Award. How sweet is that??? I never think anyone is reading this blog (I’m my own worst critic), so it’s always nice to receive little special reminders that I may be wrong. My boot is off!!!! Although I am not walking normally and it will be some time before I rock heels, I can’t tell you how free and wonderful I feel to have that 10 pound clunker off my body. And that means outfit posts are back!
Some may say that mixing animal prints and neon is just too much. I say it’s absolutely necessary. Nothing screams of pure joy and relaxation more than a Meli in a loud outfit. In fact, it’s pretty much how you can gauge my emotional state. Beware of a Meli in neutrals and instate an intervention at once.
