I really don’t want to have to say this, but I do believe it may be a new feature on my blog. I’ve told myself I am on a spending freeze, but then I find myself doing the exact opposite. It’s just so hard to go without being a loyal consumer. Am I right, shopaholics?
I blame last week’s purchases on my lonely heart. You see, my hubs was out of town, so naturally I had to fill that void. With makeup and dresses of course. Makes sense right? I know.
I’ve been lusting after a beautiful shade of hot pink lipstick for a long time now, specifically Make Up For Ever’s #36. However, at $20 a pop, I had to make sure I was ready to commit. So I had postponed the purchase. That is, until I found myself browsing the beauty section at my local Walgreen’s. I saw a similar shade from Revlon and decided to give it a go! Although it wasn’t as pigmented as I would have liked, it was a nice way to slowly transition into the world of colored lips (I never really wear lipstick). I also paired it with Revlon’s Colorburst in Hot Pink to give it a more glossy texture.
I also finally popped my Tobi cherry by ordering a really fun and sexy mini dress. I initially wanted the black & white zig zag pattern, but settled for this blue and coral tone. I’m so glad I did! It’s really fun and comfortable, although it’s a little shorter than I would normally rock a frock. I am not letting this discourage me though, as I plan to wear it to a bachelorette party and that’s what sexy dresses were made for, right? The bad thing is, I am now totally going to go bananas for all things Tobi. Why couldn’t it have been heinous and ill-fitting? That never happens.
