Lovable Friday has been infiltrated today in order to bring you a full report from the Kings of Leon concert last night at the BankUnited Center in Miami. I hope you all don’t mind considering this is my second Friday in a row that I don’t present you with a list of lovable goodies. 😉
Like I said in yesterday’s post, I am no stranger to seeing Kings of Leon perform live but seeing a headlining tour was a whole different animal. The boys really brought it to the stage and were absolutely mind-blowing. The amount of energy and charisma that these 4 have is amazing. They played the best from their musical roster: Fans, Taper Jean Girl, Crawl, Be Somebody, etc. My personal favorite moment of the night had to be the really emotional performance of Milk, one of my favorite songs by the band, and a tune I didn’t expect them to play while on tour. Another great moment was seeing the crowd go absolutely buck wild for Sex on Fire – I guess I’m not the only fan that considers it their favorite! My only complaint was the absence of Ragoo from the set list – am I the only one that could listen to that song over and over again for weeks?
As if the performance wasn’t enough to put a smile on your face, the boys aren’t so bad to look at either! Front man, Caleb Followill, is quite the hottie and his brother, Jared, isn’t too far behind. But that might just be my rockstar=insta*crush at play. However, if I’m not alone, we may have a brother double-feature showing up soon on a hump day post! 😉
BankUnited was a great venue, but security seemed to be taking their jobs a little too seriously. They were hyper-vigilant and were strictly enforcing the “no recording” rule. Because of that, I don’t have many videos to share with you (our Flip HD almost got confiscated!), but here are a couple (please disregard shakiness, do not film & dance):
So overall, I had an amazing time and would recommend grabbing tickets as quickly as possible if Kings of Leon decide to pay your city a visit. You will not regret it!

ps; Look forward to even more concert posts as I’ll be attending the tour opener for NIN/JA tonight! I’m a Nine Inch Nails virgin, so I cannot wait to see what Trent has in store for all of us. Have an amazing weekend, everyone!
