Evil Temptress.

I’m trying my best not to spend any more money than needed leading up to my trip to San Diego for Comic-Con, but of course, something came up. Doesn’t something always come up? It just seems that way – when you are trying to save – BOOM! – speeding ticket, accident or in my case, car repairs. My car decided to have severe brake failure 3 weeks before my trip and although I am still trying to get a good estimate, it looks like I’ll have to drop $500+ on my car sometime this week.

And then I saw these:

gojane_2060_611378559Striped Colorblock Tank Dress
$24.80

gojane_2060_553219259Chunky heel pointed toe bootie
$22.70

gojane_2061_148573467Gladiator Heels
$19.99 on sale

Wouldn’t that dress really round out the rest of my wonderful birthday girl outfits for San Diego? I really think so! And those shoes are to die for. I’ve been searching for some hot gladiator style heels or booties and these two pairs really satisfy the urge! Will I cave in? Most likely. 😉

For more of these inexpensive fashions, check out Go Jane!

Edit:

Since I wrote up this post and got everyone’s comments “peer pressuring” me (yeah right) to cave in & purchase what I wanted, I have. Heh. What can I say? I’m weak when it comes to clothes shopping. I can never have enough cute outfits! I wasn’t able to secure the dress in green (huge bummer), but I got it in red along with the black booties (I don’t wear a lot of brown so I couldn’t justify the heels) & I threw in another dress just for good measure. I told you I’m weak.

Playing Catch-up.

Oof. I’m so sorry guys. I have turned into the worst blogger ever! Things have been busy and life has been getting in the way yet again so the blog has been on the back-burner so to speak. Lovable Friday completely escaped my memory and now I don’t have much of a Weekend wrap-up for you guys either. The good news is that our weekend didn’t consist of much, since we pretty much stayed at home, so there is not much to write about this time around!

What I did want to do was mention the passing of the King of Pop. I know there is much controversy as to what he did behind closed doors and why we are now celebrating a man that may have molested little boys, but the way I see it, death should always be mourned and you cannot deny the contribution to music that this man gave the world throughout the years. I also dare any of you to state that you never sang along or even choreographed a dance or two to one of his songs when you were a kid. I know I, for one, grew up listening to Thriller (because of my older sister) and was pretty much mesmerized by all his music videos. There is one thing that is for sure: the man was a legend, an icon, most probably the biggest celebrity and one of the best entertainers in the world (OK, that is more than one) and whatever crazy ass shit he did in his personal life had no bearing on any of those things. So, rest in peace, Michael. Your music will live in our hearts forever.

Also, RIP Farah Fawcett, Ed McMahon & now Billy Mays. What is going on with the universe? People need to stop dying, ok? My little heart doesn’t like it one bit.

Video Blog | 2

So I hadn’t done a vlog in sometime and I figured it was time. Except, if I remember correctly from last time – my dogs were a bigger hit than I was so I thought it was best to give them the limelight this time around! Enjoy the insanity that is Gwen & her manic episodes, Brad-Pitt’s attempt to regulate and my high-pitched baby slash puppy voice.

Sorry for the brief & boring blog posts lately – we are having a pretty big audit at my job that we need to pass with flying colors. The assault begins today and lasts through to Friday. So wish me luck!

Happy Hump Day: Joshua Jackson

bigbop01

This is a hump day selection that stems back to the days of Bop & Big Bopper. Remember those times? I would use the photos in those magazines to basically wallpaper the back of my door. And I’m pretty sure this photo of Joshua Jackson was included. I’ve been a fan of his since he was in Disney’s Mighty Ducks trilogy (still love those movies, whatever happened to Mike Vitar??) and yes, I am ashamed to say that I also watched Dawson’s Creek mainly because he was on the show (c’mon, everyone knows Pacey was the best character!). And now we are lucky enough to have him on Fringe, which is one of my most favorite shows on TV at the moment. I’m super happy that Fringe will not only have a panel at Comic-Con but that Josh will be in attendance along with his amazing costars, Anna Torv (Olivia Dunham) and John Noble (Walter Bishop)! So congrats to Josh who has managed to evade the child star stigma and build a bright future for himself all while looking pretty good doing so.

On to the photos!

Random Splatterings of Goodness.

wonderlandphotos-550x274

Since I am feeling a little under the weather due to my allergies deciding to mutate and become the most annoying cold overnight and just generally feel a little less than inspired, today’s post will lack focus. So sit back and enjoy some of the random items that have caught my eye on the grand old Internets:

bot02 Images from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland have surfaced and oh my holy God does it look amazing. Do I seriously have to wait until 2010?

bot02 My fear has subsided! My precious ZQ has appeared on the set of Heroes! And looking mighty fine while doing so if I may add!

bot02 Have you seen the site, Geeky Tattoos? It is an excellent mid-workday time-waster and will make you chuckle repeatedly.

bot02 John & Kate (plus hate) have officially filed for divorce. Does this mean we never have to see or hear from them again? Because that would be super.

bot02 Nothing made me laugh harder than seeing vampire, Bill Compton, shopping in Forever 21 during Sunday’s episode of True Blood. I wonder if he picked up some fabulous finds?

Tomorrow we will be back to our regularly scheduled program – no worries, ladies – I have not forgotten that it is hump day and already have a hottie lined up to make the work week more bearable, promise. No sickness could keep me away from delivering the hotness!

Anyone want to bring me soup? Or antihistamines?
