While visiting my Mom’s house over the weekend, I sifted through some old boxes that contained my grandmother’s photo albums and I discovered my parents’ wedding album. This was absolute gold to me. I had never seen any of these pictures since they were probably stashed away somewhere in my grandmother’s house and were the only copies. Unfortunately, my parents divorced when I was about 13 years old, but these pictures are still so meaningful and beautiful to me.
My mom always told me that I probably would have used her wedding dress had she not let her friend borrow it (she never got it back) and now I can honestly say that she was right. How beautiful did she look? My dad didn’t look too shabby himself either!
I’m so happy I was able to stumble upon these gorgeous pictures – they will definitely be something I treasure for the rest of my life. Does anyone else want to share their parents’ wedding photos?

my parents had GORGEOUS wedding pictures. absolutely TONS of creative portraits. lots of photojournalistic-ish images…. and definitely some cheesy ones since it was the early 80’s! In fact, my parents’ wedding photos are a thousand times better than the pictures from my own wedding!
