We definitely had no idea what we were in for when we sent in our RSVP for an old family friend’s wedding. The ceremony was at Epiphany Church and was standing room only. We discovered there were 1200 guests and 17 buses to shuttle us all from the church to the cocktail and reception venues, which were the most glorious houses I’ve ever seen in my life. Holy hell. We were greeted by Asian drummers, trays and trays of champagne, cirque de soliel type dancers and performers, an ice bar literally made of ice serving all kinds of shots and martinis and about 10 different food stations throughout the premises. Now that was an event. I wish pictures could do it justice, but they really couldn’t. Regardless, you can check out the set on my Flickr here. Congratulations to the lovely bride and groom!
Saturday was a very busy day for both myself and the hubs! We met with our friends Jackie and Will to take some special pictures of them for their couple shower in April. They are going for a vintage Cuban/tropical theme so we took some fun pictures of them on the beach. While the hubs took some digi and film shots, I took some with my Instax as well as my new Superheadz camera. I think they are going to be so happy with the results! Also, I started jotting down some notes to help her plan her bridal shower – she will be my first test run before deciding to take this show on the road planning-wise 😉
Sunday was another wonderful, but hectic day! We met with another couple of adorable friends to scope out their wedding venue, as we will both be shooting their big day in May, and also to shoot their engagement photos. So much fun! We went to several different locations to get different vibes and think we were pretty successful. I stuck to my Instax and Superheadz again – I could definitely get used to this being our weekend routine! Although I really missed being at home with our baby pups.
Looks like I may need another weekend after my weekend, but it was worth all the running around! I hope you all have a fabulous week 🙂
