I really wish I could have more rugs in my home, but with 2 rowdy (& hairy) dogs, it’s always a bad idea. But something tells me that I would make an exception for this kick ass stamp rug emblazoned with the Queen’s likeness in bold, kicking colors. Maybe slapping one on the wall would be a better option. 😉
Every second Saturday of the month, all the art galleries in Miami’s Design District open their doors to the public for free. I used to frequent the gallery walks years ago, but was really surprised to see this past weekend how huge the event has gotten. Food trucks line the street, amazing bands playing in every corner, free drinks and quality art. It only makes me wish there were more events like this in Miami on a regular basis! I had a great time with my friends and we are hoping to make this a monthly outing.
I never thought my little Fringe family could get more lovable. Between Olivia, Peter and Walter, my little TV heart was content. But surprise! Lincoln Lee, played by the adorable Seth Gabel, managed to burrow his way in. I kind of blame J.J. Abrams and his wonderful characters and story lines. Talented bastard. But I digress. How cute is this boy with his little nerdy glasses and suits? And as if he wasn’t cute enough on his own, he’s married to the adorable Bryce Dallas Howard. I’m pretty sure they could make it on an entry of Cute Overload, but that’s just me. I’ll allow you all to make your own decision after the jump!
Now that we have (nearly) finished our front yard project, it’s time to tackle our backyard! Yes, the work of a homeowner never ends. The backyard is something we will need to focus all our attention on, as it is the backdrop for my 30th birthday party this year. Aside from refinishing and fixing our pool, I want to add some decorative touches to make it a little more lively, and more “us.” For this reason, I put together a fun little mood board with some great items I am currently lusting over! I am extremely happy for two of my closest friends, Elissa & James, and their recent engagement! Even more so after I was told I was to be the maid of honor! The rest of the bridal party (also some of my closest friends), decided to take the bride-to-be out for a bridesmaid brunch to celebrate the engagement at the Pelican Grand in Ft. Lauderdale. We had a fabulous time – maybe a little too fabulous – I ended up sick as a dog the following week. But I have to say, spending time with these girls is always worth it, no matter the outcome!

I think this outfit fit the vibe perfectly. I wanted something feminine and romantic since we were celebrating love and marriage, but also needed something airy as we were going to be sitting outside by the beach. Everyone knows this season is all about the maxi dress, but it can be pretty difficult to find the right one. I found my perfect maxi while perusing the clearance section at Marshall’s (along with 2 other beauties, but I digress)! I am in love with its little ruffles and tiers. Everything about it screams girly. I paired it with some gold accessories and was on my way!
Of course, I had to add the sparkly goodness! Congrats, my love 🙂
