I wanted to keep with the theme this week, but at the same time did not want to sacrifice Hump Day (I know it’s all your favorite post of the week), and then it came to me: I haven’t featured the wonderfully talented and beautiful Lenny Kravitz! Perfect. Now although a whole new generation will only know him as Cinna, Katniss’ assigned soft-spoken stylist for the games, he has always been one of my favorite musicians. I must have seen Lenny play live about 5 times during my high school and undergraduate career – I couldn’t get enough of him. I mean, who could? He is gorgeous and made some amazing music. The hubs even had one of his songs, Believe, on the list of songs he wanted to sing to me at our wedding (and when he did a test run, I cried like a baby – thank god it didn’t make the cut). I’m crossing my fingers that he does Cinna justice – he was definitely one of my favorite characters in the series.
Do you think he’ll do a good job, Tributes?

I’ve always been a Lenny fan! I think he’ll be a wonderful Cinna. At first I was a little shocked at the casting because he doesn’t look at all like my imagined version of Cinna, but I was super ecstatic because I love Lenny so much that now I couldn’t picture anyone else in the role. I think he’ll be awesome because he is Lenny Kravitz and he can’t help but do awesome.

I definitely think he’ll pull it off! I feel like he wouldn’t have taken the part if he didn’t think he could do it justice. Ahh I can’t wait. 🙂
