We had big plans for Saturday. After too many back-to-back vacations and just general bad eating, the hubs and I are on a strict calorie-counting regime, and we really want to incorporate more exercise and physical activities into our daily routine (we were getting way too comfortable being couch potatoes). This is why we were really excited to pull our bikes out of the garage and start riding again. Unfortunately, Miami’s fickle weather did not work in our favor. Mid-way through our ride, it began to torrentially downpour. We had to pedal to the metal all the way back home, but at least we got a lot of shrieks and laughter in. That’s gotta count for something right?

I absolutely love this shirt! I think it’s perfect for South Florida summers. Although it looks hefty, it is so lightweight and gives me some variety in my wardrobe aside from tank top after tank top. I also love the mint stripes and dolman sleeves – so easy, breezy and beautiful! I was inspired by the fun look to try my hand at this adorable bow bun tutorial that is going around all of Pinterest. Although I was able to throw my hair up in something resembling a bow, I doubt it could be considered a success. I mean, I’m pretty sure I emptied out my collection of bobby pins in the process and it still looked like a toddler had done it. I should have known better when I can’t even come close to doing a sock bun.
