I am so happy I found out about a company like La Clé (“the key” in French). They are a wonderful little organization based in Washington DC that wants you to focus on the positive. They provide key necklaces in different colors – each one representing something different. You are encouraged to wear your key and really hone in on those sentiments and embrace their meaning. As the color on the key fades, you will have a naked key. If you post a picture of your now naked key on social media (#nakedkey), La Clé will make a donation to the charity of your choice! How absolutely amazing is that???
Although it was hard to choose, I ultimately went with the orange key, which symbolizes unstoppable and focused. As I’ve mentioned several times on my blog lately, I have felt so inspired to go for my dreams and make things happen. They may be baby steps right now, but I have big-time goals and I KNOW I will achieve them. Having this key around my neck will definitely be that daily reminder to continue pushing for what I want out of life. As for the charity I will choose when my key goes naked, La Clé’s donation will have to go to Autism Speaks.
Do you want to continue the positivity train and get your own La Clé necklace? Now is your chance to do just that for FREE! I’m hosting a giveaway to get your own colored key so that you too can embrace the positive in your life while helping someone else’s. All you have to do is:
- Leave a comment below with which color key you would get and why
The winner will be picked at random and announced one week from today, September 22nd! Good luck to everyone!
Disclosure; I was provided with a free necklace by Le Clé in return for this blog post. However, all opinions are my own.

Awww I love this idea! I always enjoying coming across cute little organisations like this, especially where spreading positivity is the goal. I love all of the different meanings for the colours as well and I think orange is a really good choice. I’d go for the bronze one right now as I feel that having more strength and energy on my side would be brilliant right about now! Amazing post. – Tasha

Bronze was my second choice!

This is such a cute idea. Love that they donate to charity too. I would choose black since lately I feel like I’ve lost a bit of control over certain circumstances and need to regain some of that power back. It was a tough choice between that one and bronze.

Gold. Worthy. I am times feel unworthy due to my past and the poor choices I have made. I know I am worthy of everything positive and loving and good this life has to offer to me but some days, it is hard to remember that.

Keys for a cause, I like it! I’d have to go with Blue. I’m surround by so much energy every day, positive and negative, it can all be a bit much. Plus, Libra and all, balance is my life’s mission.

Yellow for brilliant and fortunate. My little family is going through some tough luck and while I’d like good fortune for us, I’d also like to be brilliant enough to help my family myself.
As a side note, your blog is awesome! I love reading your stuff!

Awe I love this! I would pick the blue one, which stands for balance/chill. Because I’m always looking for balance and constantly trying to remain chill (anxiety problems), hahahah.

I love the whole concept but I definitely think I need some bronze in my life right now, it’s funny it was your second choice! 😀

I love this blog!! Jewelry with a positive message. My color was hard to choose but I went with Silver, resilient and fearless. I would love to wear this on my neck as a reminder that I’m strong and I will be able to adjust easily to any situation that comes my way.

That is such a hard choice! I think I would have to go with silver right now. I have a lot of major changes coming up and I need to embrace some fearlessness, plus right now resilient is not a word I would use to describe myself. I need to gain some more confidence! Hard choice though- second would probably have been green.

This is SO cool! I can see how all of these colors would be useful, but right now I need purple for creativity and eccentricity 🙂 I’ve had a hard time getting back in the blogging swing… I could use the extra boost!

I think I’d either go with purple for the creativity and eccentricity (because I could use a boost in my writing creativity, though I’m already pretty eccentric!) or with the blue, because I could use something to increase my mental balance and “chill” 🙂 LOVE this concept!

I would pick Bronze for strength and energy. I will wear it and watch it fade. It will remained me that I’ve had strength when I didn’t know I had when my husband died and I will have strength and energy now on the days my body hurts but I know I’ve got to find that strength and energy to make my day worth something to me and everyone around me.

I’d have to choose yellow for brilliant and fortunate. My partner and I are trying for a baby, and it’s not going as well as we’d expected. Could do with some fortune and brilliance about now! http://www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk xx

Love this. I’d go Kelly Green for generous/lucky. Seems like a great combination and lord knows we can all use as much luck as possible.
