Now that it is Fall (well, for everywhere but South Florida), you may think you have to transition to darker shades and tones to fit the season. I say NAY. Thanks to stumbling on the wonderful geeky ladies behind Lace + Lore, I come to show you otherwise. Fall can be full of fun, whimsy and some serious pops of color. How can you do it? Simple! Just check out how I transitioned these 3 great pieces into Fall staples!
Ice Cream Skirt
I am loving this way too kawaii for its own good ice cream skirt paired with a more subdued and classic denim blouse. Make sure you button it all the way to the top and accent it with a bold statement necklace. Paired with fun boots and a warm hat, you are ready to brave the cooler elements. If it gets really chilly this time of year where you are from, just throw on a leather jacket or compliment the look with a pair of fun tights!

Cake Leggings
These have to be the most perfect non-maternity maternity leggings ever! Seriously, the yoga style fit of these cake leggings makes them a great over-the-belly option. Just pair the loud print with a neutral tunic style sweater and a fun warm hat and you have a fun look that can even flatter for the office. I decided to accessorize my look further with a bold necklace, glitter TOMS and my favorite pair of retro sunglasses because why not go all the way? 😉

Donut Dress
Funny enough, donuts have been one of my biggest pregnancy cravings, which is a punch in the face considering I am gluten intolerant. I’ve had to be satisfied just wearing them on my clothes and this dress is just way too adorable. On its own, it is the perfect summer outfit, but when paired with a leather jacket, some fun knee high socks and boots, you are Fall ready. Again, if it’s cooler where you are, feel free to layer on a scarf like I did (notice these pictures had to be taken inside because I probably would have melted in a puddle in our humidity).

And transitioning is as easy as that! My favorite part of these outfits is that they can easily be shed or added to depending on the weather in your neck of the woods. We in Miami will continue hoping and praying for our 2 days of cool weather to come sooner than later, but enjoy your pumpkin spice lattes and 50-60 degree weather, Northerners! 😉

I love how you took these from summer to fall looks. That donut dress is amazingly cute and makes me a little hungry 😉 …and Central Florida definitely isn’t getting any Fall weather yet either!

You’re too cool. The cake leggings are the cutest thing! Your maternity style is everything, and I absolutely love it! I also love showing more colour come Autumn too. I tend to gravitate towards darker shades but really I should be wearing bright colours even though it’s grey outside! I love the way you styled the donut dress too, that’s so cute. – Tasha
