We realized sometime last month that our last date day/night was in the summer! When you are parents, things start to add up and before you know it, months have passed by since you have had a nice time for yourself. It’s so important to keep going out on dates and enjoy your partner even when there is a tiny one around, so the hubs and I try to do so as often as possible. Unfortunately, this time around, life got the best of us.
We decided to head out to celebrate the hubs’ birthday and make our best attempt at being cool. We had tapas at a Brazilian restaurant and then went bar hopping. My favorite bar we stopped at? The Anderson. Although I’m sure it gets slammed and full of hipsters, it was so nice to visit on a Sunday afternoon. I totally appreciated the tropical Miami vibe complete with swinging hammocks and brightly colored walls. The cocktails were also to die for, so that helps.
When I go out and know I will be drinking, or am traveling, I often don’t bring my wedding rings with me. I’ve had some close calls while on vacation where I almost lost them, so I decided it would be best to just leave them at home sometimes. However, after being married for almost 9 years (!), it can feel really weird to have single-lady-fingers. That’s why I love that Anjolee has incredible engagement rings – both the real deal and cubic zirconia variety. My new ring from them is absolutely perfect to travel with. It makes the perfect substitute for your actual rings back home! They also carry an extensive line of gemstone jewelry, which is my favorite! As you all remember, I got a beautiful Morganite ring as a “push gift” when I gave birth to Luna and I hold it very near and dear to my heart. So make sure to direct your dudes to some of these pretties if the timing is right!
Disclosure; Anjolee sent me this product in return for a post. However, all opinions and statements are my own.

Aww, you look lovely! It is so important to make time for just the two of you. My fiancé and I don’t do it often enough either. We had our first date night a week ago, when we went to the cinema on our own and had a meal out. x http://www.aimeeraindropwrites.co.uk x

I think it’s definitely a struggle once a little one comes into the picture, but so so important! Glad you guys were able to get that little sacred moment together!
