Lovable Friday: Halloween Edition

lovablefriday1

I hope everyone has a fantastic Halloween weekend! I, for one, cannot contain my excitement. My costume is ready to go and I’ll be back Monday morning with a kick ass round up of our festivities. Have a great time everyone, but remember to be safe. I’ve put together some fun Halloween-themed items to share with you all!

For all of you who are planning to have a Halloween dinner party sometime this weekend, these adorable DIY placemats would definitely make a statement! One of my favorite designers, Eddie Ross, featured these cuties along with instructions on how to make your own on his blog. So strap on your craft hat and get to work, procrastinators! πŸ˜‰

It’s starting to get spooky…

…in the Sanchez household!

I picked up these hysterical puppy costumes at Old Navy yesterday and was uber pleased to see that they were already heavily reduced. Score! Brad-Pitt’s skeleton tee is a little too big for him, but I think he still makes it look good. It was supposed to be paired with some devil horns, but I must have misplaced them. And I think I’ve finally found the cure for Gwen’s unstoppable hyperactivity: a bee costume. Whenever I put it on her, she just freezes in complete and total terror. Poor thing. I think I’ll cut back on the animal abuse until the big day. Not to give further clues, but I believe Gwen’s outfit will match nicely with mine. πŸ˜‰

Happy Hump Day: Gerard Butler

gerard_butler_01

Man, you crazy ladies love this dude. I have to say, this is the first hump day hottie that I just cannot get into (that’s what she said?). He has a pretty awesome accent and an equally awesome bod, but he just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe he lost his credibility with me when he decided to make a completely lame romantic comedy with Katherine Heigl? Dunno. Either way, I’ve gotten so many requests for Mr. Butler that I thought it was just cruel to ignore them any further. So here you go, girls. Don’t say I never did anything for you!

Wedding Planning, Printed Materials

Contributing this post is Agustin Sanchez, Melificent’s husband, 1/2 of concert duo extraordinaire, and partner in crime. Melificent needs to take a day or two off this week, so I’ll be stepping in.

So, I recently was re-organizing the office/spare room in our place and I came across some of the original sketches that I had madeΒ  when Meli and I were mulling over ideas for all the printed materials for our wedding. As a backstory, Meli and I have been married just shy of two years (anniversary is November 17th!!) and have been together somewhere around 8 years.

Weekend Highlights

satvs

Saturday finally brought Augi’s 28th birthday! We worked hard to get the kickball theme right and were kind of worried when we saw the ominous clouds floating round as we were preparing to head to the park. In typical Miami fashion, not only did it rain but it was torrential. Thankfully, it decided to stop for the 4 hours or so that we had the field reserved – perfect! We were amazed at the number of people that showed up and how much fun we had. Our custom team shirts looked great and were a complete hit with all our friends. We had quite a close game, but the Black Robocops took it 4 to 2 in the 9th inning! I don’t know about everyone else, but I noticed how horribly out of shape I was afterwards and am definitely paying for all my antics in the form of some nasty soreness. Maybe we should play more often? πŸ˜‰

Anyways, thanks to everyone that came out and joined in on the fun (and those that watched from the sidelines). We love you all!
