First off, I’d just like to say that I am so happy with the turnout for both giveaways I’ve hosted the past two weeks. I am especially blown away at the response for yesterday’s Lulu’s contest! I hope to be able to continue to provide more unique and fun giveaways for all of you in the future. I am very proud of where this blog is heading and am not planning on slowing down one bit! So thank you to all my loyal readers, as well as new ones. It makes me infinitely happy to know that I can make others smile with something I have created. 🙂
I cannot believe it’s time. I truly think this is the end of an era. LOST changed television. They made it OK for television shows to make its viewers think. TV no longer has to be mindless entertainment. LOST was a very big part of my life from beginning to end and I am terribly sad to see it go. I have grown attached to all the characters as if I personally knew each and every one of them. But at the same time, I am so excited to see the conclusion. How is this all going to end? I have utter and complete faith that Damon and Carlton are going to serve us up a mind-blowing 2.5 hour finale on Sunday night, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to cry. A lot. So keep those tissues handy, fellow LOSTies!
ps; Isn’t Libby one of the greatest underrated characters? I love her.
I can’t believe I can say that we are mere weeks away from the opening of Universal Studio’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It seems like only yesterday that the plans were revealed and I obsessively stalked (that’s right, no shame) the website looking for any hint of an opening date. And it doesn’t seem like I am the only one so excited I may wet myself upon entrance. The park was lucky enough to play to host to some of the movie’s biggest stars. On hand yesterday at the Wizarding World were Emma Watson, Robbie Coltrane, James and Oliver Phelps and Matthew Lewis. They received a sneak peek of the attraction and by the looks of the photo above (credit: Universal Orlando Resort) we are in for some fun surprises! I just hope this doesn’t mean the cast members won’t be on hand for the park’s grand opening on June 18th. So how many of you are brave enough to join me opening weekend?
As you all know, I’m going for a modern beach vibe for our new home and while doing some online decor research, I stumbled upon A Beach Cottage. The blog has a bunch of amazing inspiration photos to help make your home look like it’s sitting by the sea, so if that turns your little design senses on, definitely put it on your blog roll!
I am such a sucker for stationary and paper goods, I can’t help myself. So when my hubs linked me to this adorable site, Rifle Paper Co., I was certifiably in love. The online store run by Anna Bond and based in Winter Park, FL has everything from prints to recipe cards to wedding and event templates with one thing in common: sweet quirkiness. Also, for a more regular dose of inspiration, check out their blog! Swoon!
I just found out about this glorious establishment last night when I happened to turn on the TV to Deco Drive (a show I never ever watch). Gorilla B’s is a restaurant in West Kendall (my hood y’all!) that caters to the fat kid in all of us – and mine is very active. Everything they offer is deep fried and carnival approved: from burgers to chicken nuggets to Oreos. The kicker? You can choose to smother some of the treats with guava and cream cheese, Cuban style! My heart attack awaits!

You know I would be all over opening weekend if I could! I’ll make it eventually though. 😉

It was supposed to be open for Gradbash. That would’ve been a riot!
