DarkUFO just posted scans from the last issue of LOST magazine and they are both adorable and heartwrenching, at least for me, as a huge fan. The last episode pretty much wrecked me inside and out, especially when it came to the church scenes. I still can’t believe my favorite show is over. Sometimes I just really miss seeing their faces, it’s kind of pathetic, huh? But true. Nothing but love for my LOSTies!

Besides the fact that this video stars one of my favorites, Dominic Monaghan (LOSTie!), it is also beautifully made. Plus, the song is fabulous as well. I’ve been kind of obsessed with it since, humming it constantly. There seems to be a lot of controversy surrounding both this video and song, apparently people are suggesting that it is advocating abusive relationships, but I just find that to be ridiculous. Just like most of Eminem’s tracks, the song is telling a story and this one just happens to be about his tumultuous relationship with ex-wife, Kim. Not all stories are pretty, people. Although I have to say, hearing Rihanna sing about how much she likes the way it hurts was kind of disturbing. Check the video out here.

Found out about this glorious local gem thanks to Burger Beast earlier this week. I am so happy that my little neck of the woods is getting some gourmet goods because lord knows I like me some eats. And I have a special place in my heart for cupcakes so I nearly fell off my chair when I read about this fabulous bakery: Sweetness Bake Shop. They specialize in delicious high quality treats such as cookies, cakes, gelato, pies and of course, cupcakes (like the Guinness Stout ones above). I can’t wait to try one of those babies on my next cheat day! And for all my local readers, they have some great hours allowing those late night cravings to become a reality. Plus, make sure to follow them on Twitter for up to date news and offers.

My hubs sent me an email with a link to watch a trailer for a movie called, The Romantics. In the email, he only wrote one sentence, “this is your kind of movie.” And he was so so right. The Romantics, which is based off a novel (isn’t everything lately?), boasts one of the best young ensemble casts in awhile. Elijah Wood, Anna Paquin, Katie Holmes, Adrian Brody, Josh Duhamel and Malin Akerman lead this cast as a group of close friends that are reuniting for one of their weddings. However, things start to get a little complicated when the maid of honor (played by Katie) realizes she still has feelings for the groom (played by Josh), who was her ex-boyfriend. It’s definitely a must-see movie for me this fall and I hope one of those limited theaters just happens to be somewhere in South Florida!

This past weekend I headed over to Barnes and Nobles to pick up some new books. I wanted something soft and fun, so I decided to pick up the first novel in L.J. Smith’s Vampire Diaries series. I’m a huge fan of the CW show (Team Damon – duh) so I was looking forward to reading what inspired it. It was a very easy and quick read and although it kept my attention at all times, I have to admit the show is so much better. There is just more drama and action – something the books seem to lack. However, I’m definitely planning on continuing the series because I’m curious to see how things pan out in the books as it is completely different from the show.
