Squeeworthy: Out of Print Clothing

I’ll never forget my first grade teacher, Ms. Wahl. She tutored me during the summer going into 2nd grade because I just could not read. I don’t know what it was about the process, but it did not sit well with me. I didn’t get it. At all. But she helped me. She helped me so much I became an avid reader shortly after. So avid that my mom didn’t know what to do with me and my voracious appetite to go through book after book after book. And that’s when my love affair began with reading.

So naturally, I was instantly drawn to the clothing site, Out of Print Clothing. They sell quality tees emblazoned with out of print book covers with the hope that it will spread the joy of reading. And not only that, but for each shirt sold, one book is donated to a community in need through their partner, Books for Africa. And continuing on their generous streak, Out of Print decided to allow me to review a tee of my choice!

That choice was pretty easy: The Great Gatsby! One of my required reading texts from high school quickly became one of my favorite books of all time, and I am both terrified and excited that it will soon be turned into a movie directed by my favorite director, Baz Luhrmann (I’ll try my best to forget Australia ever saw the light of day). But I digress. This shirt is all sorts of wonderful. I’m loving the original cover art (of course), and the fit. You’ll have to go up a size (I’m usually a size small, but am wearing a medium) to enjoy the super comfy, but still body-hugging style. It’s the perfect tee to pair with skinny jeans, wedges and some geeky specs. Just don’t blame me if you end up getting chatted up by a bunch of hot bookworms. 😉

Why so much hate on Australia? It was an amazing epic, beautifully shot, amazing story, great acting. I loved it.

I’ve seen some of their tees at Borders, actually. I’ll totally have to pick one up at some point!
