Being Geek Chic: Geeky Home

If you are like me, you are constantly trying to find ways to spruce up your house without going full blown renovations. This spring/summer, my goal is to give some rooms/areas of my house more love. It’s hard with a 6 month old to look after, but I’ve told myself there is no deadline and I can take my time slowly revamping our home sweet {geeky} home.

My next Being Geek Chic is going to show you how to incorporate some geeky elements into your home so that it is not overbearing and still looks classy, kitschy, rustic, or whatever your home aesthetic may be!

One way to really bring in the geek into your space without causing too much commotion is through decorative pillows. I love having just one geeky themed pillow in each room, and even outside! Another one of my favorite ways to decorate is by splashing your walls with a little bit of fandom or geekery of your choosing. I am a big fan of accessories, in all shapes in sizes, when it comes to fashion and decor! I personally say, you can never have too many. You can channel your geeky side by incorporating a fun set of bookends to your shelfie (I know you know what I’m talking about, book bloggers!), or sipping your morning tea out of a fat unicorn mug (yes, please). You can even cook yourself a super kawaii meal while sporting this adorable Luna cat apron.

I hope I was able to give you a few ideas as to how to spruce up your home on the geeky front without shelling out too much dinero. I really love to do a home revamp every year or so, and for some weird reason, it always happens around Spring. Now if only I could get this inspired with my closet…
