This weekend consisted of a lot of boring, mundane stuff that wouldn’t really cut it as exciting blog material, so I decided to just share some links that I’ve been digging.

– The hubs ordered a Zumi Digi cam over the weekend. Can’t wait to play!
– Sweetest dress ever from Lulu’s.
– Mute Math is touring in support of 30 Seconds to Mars & I got tickets for their Miami Beach show: overjoyed!
– Design a Muse tour poster & win a VIP package to their show in Portland plus a new Apple iPad! We are entering fer sure.

Weekend Highlights

We definitely had no idea what we were in for when we sent in our RSVP for an old family friend’s wedding. The ceremony was at Epiphany Church and was standing room only. We discovered there were 1200 guests and 17 buses to shuttle us all from the church to the cocktail and reception venues, which were the most glorious houses I’ve ever seen in my life. Holy hell. We were greeted by Asian drummers, trays and trays of champagne, cirque de soliel type dancers and performers, an ice bar literally made of ice serving all kinds of shots and martinis and about 10 different food stations throughout the premises. Now that was an event. I wish pictures could do it justice, but they really couldn’t. Regardless, you can check out the set on my Flickr here. Congratulations to the lovely bride and groom!

I’d like to start off today’s Lovable Friday with a personal bit of love aimed directly at my amazing friends, Adri & Jose! Not only did they just close on their first home this week but they found out they will be expecting a little one!!! These two are going to make great parents and I am beyond excited for them both. I really love dress shopping (no secret on this blog), but I really hate how I often times have to pick the runners up because my favorites for events are usually way out of my price range. So I stroke them a few times, give them a kiss and then set them back on the rack. But I just discovered the site, Wear Today Gone Tomorrow, and I cannot wait to give it a try! The site is much like those seen for purses or even camera lenses – you get to borrow high-end designer dresses at 90% off for however long you’d like and then return them right back and pick up a new one! The lovely Paul and Joe Sister number above is one of the dresses on my current wish list and is only $34.50/week. Best part is I doubt I will need any of my dresses for more than one week as I’ll just be snagging them for special events like weddings, parties and showers. Has anyone used this site before? I plan on giving it a test drive next month so I’ll let you all know how it goes!

I’m usually not into loving fad-ish cameras, but this one really got suckered me good. Although Polaroid is back with a vengeance, I can’t help but love the Fuji Instax. It’s adorably cute and helps you capture the moment instantly in fun bite-sized photos that you can put anywhere. My favorite uses of these pictures? These adorable wall collages. Hello, lover! 😉
