You may not know Chris Hemsworth’s name right now, but chances are you definitely will come next summer when Thor is released in theaters. Hemsworth will play the lead character, a powerful but arrogant warrior that is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard and sent to live amongst humans on Earth. He will be joined by Hollywood heavy-hitters Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins, which definitely has everyone listing it as one of the most anticipated movies of 2011. But, if you are good with faces, you may remember his small role in the beginning of Star Trek as Captain Kirk’s late father. He’s definitely come a long way from those Australian soaps and America is not complaining 😉
Happy Belated Hump Day: Hogwarts Edition
I know. It’s not hump day. Yesterday was hump day. But cut me some slack, I couldn’t dare post about some hot piece on the day of my wedding anniversary. It would just be wrong. Anyways, I’m a strong supporter of better late than never, and these guys were worth the wait. Literally. We’ve watched the Potter kids grow up as they’ve played the roles of some of our most beloved literary characters: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. And now, in only a matter of hours, theaters will be throwing open their doors to welcome the throngs of dedicated fans that have been waiting anxiously to lay eyes on the first half of the last chapter of the series. My one tip for tonight’s viewers? Bring Kleenex. Lots of it. Accio picspam!
Happy Hump Day: Justin Kirk
So I’m not really sure if I am in love with Justin Kirk, or the character he plays on Showtime’s Weeds: Andy Botwin. Either way, he’s absolutely adorable to watch on a weekly basis as the hilarious and goofy uncle in one of TV’s most dysfunctional (but lovable) families. He’s also best known for his role as Prior Walter in the screen adaptation of Angels in America, the very play Zachary Quinto is a part of currently in New York City! And thankfully he is not only sticking to Weeds, I’m sure a lot of you spotted him on Modern Family a couple of weeks ago and he is set to star in quite a slew of movies, such as Vamps, alongside Alicia Silverstone and Sigourney Weaver. Looks like Uncle Andy isn’t such a slacker after all! 😉
Lovable Friday

It’s no secret: I love easy DIY projects! Although I don’t consider myself to be very crafty, I can do spray painting without any difficulties. Promise. And this simple DIY project consisting of a can of spray paint and a pack of mason jars really does it for me. Just think of these pretties adorning a table at an event or even as a centerpiece for a shower – they would be so perfect! And the best part is that they would take minimal time and effort, as well as be gentle on your wallet. I, for one, can’t wait to give these babies a test run. If you are also interested, you can pick up large packs of mason jars at Big Lots for under $15! Thank me later 😉
Happy Hump Day: Johnny Depp
When thinking who I should feature for Halloween week’s hump day, there was no one else that would fit the bill better than Johnny Depp. After all, he’s basically in all my favorite spooky movies: Sleepy Hollow, Sweeney Todd, Edward Scissorhands, the list goes on and on. And isn’t he just the most gorgeous man on the planet? And so humble! Did you guys hear the story where he visited a young girl at school dressed as Jack Sparrow after she wrote him a letter asking for his help to start a mutiny against school teachers? Who does that? He’s amazing. Enjoy the picspam and get your freak on (haha), ladies (& boys)!
