What I Wore: The Kills Concert

The Kills is one of my hubby’s favorite bands…and mine. For his birthday present, I got him tickets to see them in Paris last year during our Europe trip and they blew.us.away. So naturally when we found out they were going to play in South Florida, we had to get tickets once again. Holy hell. Why are they so amazing? Add front row status, and we almost couldn’t handle it. Alison Mosshart is electric, hot, and magnetic (Jamie, you are not far behind, my friend).

Which leads me into why these photos may be a little…well, awkward looking. They were taken outside the venue a couple of hours before doors opened and Alison was literally down the street. I just could not concentrate on my best “fashion blogger stance/face/pose” because the level of cool in the air was raised an infinite amount of notches and I just could not compete. So ridiculous giggles and weird contorted faces resulted instead. Sorry for that.

HAPPY HUMP DAY: DAREN KAGASOFF

I will admit I’ve watched a quite a few seasons of the Secret Life of an American Teenager [thanks, Netflix!]. But really, how much back-and-forth [and back and forth…] argumentative dialogue can one person take?  The main reason I tuned in? This guy.

I wasn’t too fond of Kagasoff’s hairstyle, but after a quick flash of the abs in an episode or two, I figured I could stand it. Maybe if Daren Kagasoff made a few more topless appearances I would have kept watching the show. 😉

And for the record, this “high school hottie” was born in ’87, so this is not an attempt at cradle robbing. 🙂

Happy Hump Day: Adam Brody

Here’s an adam’s apple that probably hasn’t crossed your mind in a minute. I remember watching MTV’s Now What? and deciding that, for being so incredibly monotone, this guy is cute, has an amazing sense of humor, and a sweet wardrobe. My love of all things Brody truly blossomed when he temporarily joined the cast of Gilmore Girls, followed by a full blown Melificent-style fangirl obsession when Brody played Seth Cohen on the O.C. I’ve read in a few places that Brody is a lot like his television personalities, which got me all kinds of excited because our tastes in music and comedic stylings are pretty similar [see: indie rock and sarcastic to the max]. Although I didn’t realize he was “recently” in a couple movies, Jennifer’s Body and In the Land of Women [both added to my queue!], I look forward to swooning over Adam Brody again one day…or just watching reruns of the O.C. on the soap network. 🙂

Magical Moments Monday

Although it’s been a tough week – lots of studying and not a whole lot of fun, it’s always important to remember the happy!

x. the skyview app for the iPhone
x. this amazing video of acoustic Bush
x. starting on the design for our Hunger Game viewing party tees
x. gift exchange with my Dad
x. experiencing a very proud moment as a wife
x. authentic sangria
x. clearing the Karmann Ghia from our garage – hoping it finds a good home!
x. final Christmas crafts
x. officially branding the new Cube as my very own mockingjay

Have a great week everyone! I unfortunately will be blog absent for most of it, but I’ll try to make a couple more posts if possible!

Happy Hump Day: Bradley Cooper

This is another reader freebie for you all – think of it as an early Christmas gift! Despite being crowned the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine, Bradley Cooper just doesn’t do it for me. Sure, he has that Ken doll, rugged masculinity going for him, but I think he’s just too pretty and too perfect. Could that ever be a problem? I guess I just like my men a little flawed. But I can’t deny that he looks wonderful with minimal clothes on and that he’s a pretty amazing actor. Although I haven’t seen Limitless, I’ve heard it’s fantastic, and I (along with the rest of America) loved him in the Hangover films, but my absolute favorite Cooper role has to be Wet Hot American Summer. Oh yes.
