A Few Good Flats

Embarrassing fashion blogger confession time: I have no cute flats in my closet. Like, not even a pair of boring black ones.

I know it should be some sort of crime (especially considering that my feet are not big fans of heels), but I am severely lacking in this department. I seem to have replaced them with wedges, but sometimes, you just need something a little more casual and comfy but a little hipper than your every day pair of chucks. Am I right?

I have fond memories of flats past, especially my sequined flats from Old Navy. Remember those? I’d love to find a few affordable and versatile pairs to take their place in my heart, because honestly this is just ridiculous.

Squeeworthy: Fall Booties

Fashion confession: I have thick legs. So thick that I often cannot fit in all those trendy, hot knee high boots. This has made me sad for a very long time. Sure, we don’t have a whole lot of “sweater weather” down here in Miami, but when we do, my footsies ache to wear a beautiful pair of boots. I guess you can blame it on the you always want what you can’t have theory. This is where booties come in to save the day – now these I can wear without a problem and they still have the look and feel of a good fall boot! I’ve always been a big fan of Christopher Nolan’s work ever since I saw Memento (one of my top 10 movies of all time), so you can imagine how excited I was when I first saw the trailer for Inception a couple of months ago. I think the hubs and I were rendered speechless after it came on during a random commercial break. Talk about orgasmic visuals! Plus, I really dig the concept of creating, controlling and implanting dreams especially after all those lectures on Jung during my schooling. And Mr. Nolan could not have collected a better or more talented cast to tell his story. I have to be honest, I haven’t been this excited for a movie in a long time (all the silly Twilight-ness doesn’t count). I got my tickets – did you?
