What I Wore: Wynwood Sunday

Although the thought of Monday slowly creeping up beyond the distance can ruin any Sunday, they may be my new favorite. The hubs and I usually have a date day, try something new and explore. Although the Wynwood neighborhood is not new for us, I tried Panther Coffee for the first time (I don’t think I’m hipster enough to hang there) and finally got to try Taqueria (yay for corn tacos that don’t make me sick). The sun was blazing something fierce, but thankfully this super comfy silk dress kept it light and fresh. Paired with my new favorite surplus vest, I kind-of-maybe played the part of ultra cool hipster. 😉

What I Wore: Nerdy Chic

Yeah, I’m one of those people that wear glasses without any need. I remember staring at all the girls that had glasses growing up and being envious. One in particular stands out in my memory with red frames (a la Sally Jessy Raphael) that I was particularly jealous of. I guess I’ve just always been a fan of over accessorizing. 😉

In other news, I hope no one minds, but I’m just going to rock maxi skirts every day for the rest of the year. Cool?

What I Wore: Rock ‘n Roll Summer

The hubs has been traveling a lot for work lately, so when we get time to ourselves, we really relish in it. On this day, while sitting on a bench in front of our favorite French bakery eating macaroons, I told him, “I love you now more than ever.” We will be 11 years together in a few weeks, and 6 years married in November, yet now is when my love for him seems overpowering. Is that something that some of you readers have experienced? Not that I didn’t love him before of course, but I am now feeling an even deeper connection after all these years.

Life is pretty spectacular, people.

What I Wore: Pastels

As usual, I am trying my best to hold on to what is left of summer. Sure, you can say that Miami is in perpetual summer all year round, but there is something special about the true summer months. There’s something in the air, and no, it’s not just humidity. It feels like a little bit of magic, a little bit of youth and a whole lot of beauty. So in my attempt to hold on to all those feelings, I threw on a variety of pastel hues and basked in the sunshine. Well, at least for a few minutes before I felt like I couldn’t breathe in the severe heat. Ah, Miami.

What I Wore: Kids & Karting

The past weekend was my nephew’s birthday celebration where we went to an indoor karting venue and both the adults and kids were able to race. I landed myself in LAST place, but still had such a blast participating!!! I knew I had to be comfortable, but still look cute, so I threw on an adorable wrap blouse with a pair of flared jeans and voila! Casual chic achieved. Now if all decisions in life could be so easy.
