What I Wore: Chunky Sweater

The hubs and I just can’t get enough of Bravo and all its ridiculously cheesy programming. Housewives, Matchmakers and just recently, Vanderpump Rules. It’s such a terrible trainwreck, but you cannot look away. Not even for a second. So, of course, today’s title line is an ode to the wonderfully douchey, Jax & the one thing we have in common: our love of a good chunky sweater.

What I Wore: Spring Pastels

Believe it or not, Miami has been having some pretty chilly weather. And the kicker is that it has managed to last more than one day. In fact, it’s been about a week since we got a cold front and it is still sweater weather material down here. Of course, this past weekend, things started heating up a little more so I felt compelled to pull out my most Spring-y look. This means mint pants! Gold cap toes! Sheer tops!

Too bad the day ended with my foot swelling to unbelievable proportions. C’mon, foot. Work with me. I don’t want to wear sneakers for the rest of the month.

What I Wore: Family Day

Every now and then you need a nice reset button: a day spent with family, catching up and realizing what is important in life. It also helped that it was a gorgeous day in South Florida: crisp and cool – something we don’t get to experience a whole lot of. I probably should have worn some pants, but I couldn’t resist this new striped maxi skirt – sorry guys, but I plan on wearing this every day. Deal with it. 😉

What I Wore: Animal Print & Neon

My boot is off!!!! Although I am not walking normally and it will be some time before I rock heels, I can’t tell you how free and wonderful I feel to have that 10 pound clunker off my body. And that means outfit posts are back!

Some may say that mixing animal prints and neon is just too much. I say it’s absolutely necessary. Nothing screams of pure joy and relaxation more than a Meli in a loud outfit. In fact, it’s pretty much how you can gauge my emotional state. Beware of a Meli in neutrals and instate an intervention at once.

What I Wore: Stitch Fix

I love surprises. I think that’s why a service like Stitch Fix was so appealing. You fill out some basic information on their site, get assigned a stylist and you are sent a surprise package based on what you shared/requested. Although they weren’t always spot on, I just recently updated my profile and shared some additional information like my number one style icon (Zooey Deschanel, if you were wondering) and my fashion Pinterest board. I hoped this would help with the selections for my next fix, and it did! This dress was one of 5 great items I received (I’m sure you’ll see the others soon enough), and I fell in love! Although I am rocking a cast, I don’t think it’s an excuse to look a mess. Sure, I may have looked silly hobbling around in this cute little frock but at least I was doing it style. One thing I’m missing? Heels.
