IKEA Summer

Although it is only March, IKEA has already released its summer items and that means everyone better put on their running shoes!

Last year, I was super excited about their summer line, but by the time I got to the store they were completely sold out. They then managed to remain unavailable for the entirety of the season. IKEA doesn’t make it easy either by basically not offering anything through their online store. So this year I have my game face on and am ready to put up a fight!

What am I looking to pick up while I’m there?

Well, although we have a very small patio, it is a patio and needs some major TLC. We have a lot of parties at our pad and people love to hang out back there. Problem? There really is nowhere to hang out! Plus, we just got a grill and have been having BBQ’s regularly – it would be really nice to for our friends to be able to pick up their burger and be able to sit down & enjoy it outdoors. So my mission is to furnish our small, but cute patio!

I think two of these sitting next to each other would make for a great outdoor table after treated. I just have to see it person to see if it is tall enough because the website does state that it could be used as an end table or stool. Hmmm.

Words cannot express how much I love this chair. It is so fun and bright and would look fantastic in our patio! Hopefully it’s compact enough to fit in a corner, if not…I’ll make it fit! It also comes in a fabulous bright green.

I’m sure many of you have seen this great style in other magazines, stores, etc. It’s that modern lounge-y look that I just absolutely love but can never afford. I cannot believe this is as cheap as it is! I would love to pair this sectional with the red chair, but I need to check out their dimensions.

I just find this little chair/loveseat to be so freaking adorable. And it would match again with my favorite red chair above. I’m just wondering how easy the maintenance would be on fabric when it’s primarily outdoors.

I’m a sucker for chinese lanterns. I think that they light up (no pun intended) any space and make it that much more modern and fun. These are no exception! Plus, they are solar powered. Must have.

These are absolutely adorable. I can definitely see them being the “centerpiece” on an outdoor table. I just really love all the fun colors they come in.

To complete the mod look I’m evidently going for, hanging these fabulous mobiles from the ceiling would look fantastic!

I definitely feel like I am all over the place and need to rope in some sort of look, but I’d love to mix and match some of these items to make a perfectly fun & inviting backyard vibe. Any suggestions out there in the blogosphere? If so, leave them in my comments!
