I’m going to have to forego posting about my weekend this Monday so that I can pay homage to the Oscars Red Carpet – afterall, I know celebrity gawking and gossip is way more entertaining than my own life, right? Right.
I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with the level of glamor this year at the Oscars. It seemed like everyone was “playing it safe” when it came to their gown choice. Everyone’s outfits kind of resembled dresses I would see being worn at any black tie wedding. I mean, I’m sure they are thousands of dollars more, but you get me?

Agreed, Rachel McAdams is my best dressed pick for the night. I kind of liked Kristen Stewart’s get-up as well.
Although I didn’t HATE Charlize’s dress, it wasn’t the most flattering.

I pretty much agree with your choices and did see a lot of dresses that looked like they were straight out of prom night (Cameron Diaz, Miley Cyrus, Amanda Seyfried, etc).
I would also add to your top choices: Kristen Stewart (very nice for what she usually wears), Tina Fey (better than the last awards show) and Elizabeth Banks.

I was ALL over Sandy’s dress/look the second I saw it. So old Hollywood glamour. Plus it’s Marchesa, one of my fave designers. I also loved Amanda Seyfried’s gown I believe it was Armani Prive.
