As most of you know, last weekend was the first Geek Girl Brunch Miami, and I clearly had to dress the part. Unfortunately, the outfit I had planned didn’t make it to my mailbox in time, so I had to improvise. Now rocking a bump, improvising isn’t that easy, but I think I made it work. For all those preggo ladies, or just those that are curious on how they can make outfits work when they are preggo one day, I swear by the maxi dress.
Not just a boring maxi dress, of course, but throwing a fandom crop (or tank) over it. You will probably see this in some way, shape or form over the span of my pregnancy, so I’m sorry for that. I grabbed my Gryffindor crop and pulled it on top of a comfy maxi, paired it with my favorite witch hat and bam! A modern take on Hermione on her way to brunch with her girlfriends.

You look so adorable!! I’ve always wanted to throw a top over my maxi dress but the three I have are all striped. I always end up thinking too much is going on! Glad your GGB with off great!

Aw thank you! Yeah, stripes are definitely hard. I’d stock up on solid maxi dresses now that stores will have them by the truck load for summer 🙂
