There’s a new fandom subscription “box” in the ‘hood, and I had a great time reviewing it this week! Buzz Bags were created by Melissa Jenkins and her goal was to provide geeky ladies with quality fandom-inspired accessories. The bags have a different theme every month and run between $15-20. You can check out past bags and future bags here!
I got a chance to receive March’s Random Fandom bag, and it was chock full of goodies! First thing I noticed was just how many accessories you receive! There was so much crammed into such a little bag! I was shocked.
There were 3 necklaces: a Percy Jackson themed leather choker, a Mortal Instruments necklace and a multi-fandom necklace. They were all very well made and pretty. I especially liked the choker – I’ve never seen this style in fandom jewelry and I dig it, being the 90’s kid I am. We also got a Harry Potter magnet and a snitch bracelet. The magnet was cute, but the snitch bracelet is definitely overplayed! I have received quite a few of these. The one thing I enjoyed about this one is that it is thicker and looks like it is less likely to break unlike my others. The rest of the contents had me scratching my head a bit. I got a random small bee in my package that I wasn’t sure what to think of and couldn’t think of how it tied into any fandom – a tracker jacker maybe? I also got a friendship bracelet, which was cute, but again, not sure how it tied in. Finally, were a pair of triangle-shaped earrings. Were these supposed to emulate the deathly hallows? I wasn’t sure. Again, I’m not familiar with Mortal Instruments or Percy Jackson fandoms, so they could have been something related to those.
All in all, you get a lot of stuff with this monthly bag. Do I think it is worth the $15-20 price tag? Maybe! As many of you know, I’ve been subscribed to Fandom of the Month Club almost since its inception and that one sends you 4 accessories for $13. Each item in their packages is amazing and very wearable. I feel like this package included a lot of “fillers,” like the bee and friendship bracelet, which I tend to not like when it comes to subscriptions. However, their actual jewelry is pretty amazing, especially after checking out the rest available on their site – I mean, check out the Lord of the Rings section. Gorgeous! I would suggest they just stick to those and then it’s beyond worth the cost.
Looks like next month’s is Game of Thrones themed, so definitely snag one if you are a fan (honestly, who isn’t)!
Disclaimer; I was sent March’s Buzz Bag for free in exchange for this review. However, this did not effect my opinions when writing this blog post.

The little bee is in each bag b/c it’s Melissa’s ‘Buzz’ Bag. It’s like her personal thing. Each bag also includes a free friendship bracelet, just as something fun. After a few months, you’ll have a bunch to share or wear as a set!
