Geek Girl Gang Launch

I really can’t believe it, but my store, Geek Girl Gang, has launched as of this morning. The store is opening with my first line of tees, which you can see above. I already have 3 more designs in the works, and my Instagram-popular pin packs will be available very soon. I have big plans for my brand, and hope you guys will enjoy what I produce. My goal was to provide fun + fashionable products for the modern geek girl that doesn’t take herself too seriously. The world is full of darkness – my goal for my online presence as a whole has always been to be a light.

It’s a pretty momentous day for me today.
Regardless of how Geek Girl Gang does, I am allowing myself to celebrate. Not everyone gets to make a dream a reality, and I am proud of myself for overcoming all the fears associated with it.

Who wants to win the first Geek Girl Gang pin set?
They sold out in the first week they were released, which was so humbling and amazing for me. I had always wanted to start my own business and product line. I knew I wanted it to reflect my personality and what I wished there was more of out there in terms of fashion/accessories for the modern geek girl. I never thought that something I created would be wanted by other people, and it’s an amazing feeling.

My husband and I are hard at work building a website and getting all the logistics figured out on how to open a small business, while I just finished designing the 2nd pin set. Look out for that set to be released on Instagram before the opening of the site and our first shirts. We are trying to set our sights at officially opening as a legit business in mid-summer, and I hope to do a little South Florida convention tour.

I’ve wanted to start my own business for a very long time now, but I was always scared. In the words of Empire Records’ Lucas, “in the immortal words of The Doors, the time to hesitate is through.” It is time to launch my own product line, and I’m beyond excited. I’m going to take things slow and do them the right way.Ā Geek Girl Gang will offer both pins and tees that cater to the hip geek girl. The kind of girl that enjoys a good cocktail with her latest issue of The Wicked and The Divine. The kind of girl that is not ashamed to shout her love of fandom, while also having her shit together. Basically, the kind of girls I know and love. Powerful, intelligent ladies that get down with geekery. I am launching on Instagram (so follow GeekGirlGang now!) with my inaugural pin set. The set of 4 pins will go for $6 including shipping (to the US, contact me for international rates), and you can comment on the post in order to be invoiced. I am currently working on designing my first tee and hope to have it available before the summer convention season! I’d love all your support by adding the account and spreading the word.
