- Mickey blouse; I am loving the trend of working girl fandom pieces. This is such a great example that you can transition geek chic into the work place and look good while doing it! It could also moonlight as a cute nighttime Disney date top. Options, people!
- AT-AT poodle skirt; the creativity of this skirt just amazes me. It is such a wonderful play on the 50’s poodle skirt, and I need to have it in my closet right now. Can you imagine this for Dapper Day? I die. Fun fact: I used to dress as a 50’s girl repeatedly for Halloween, so it has an extra special place in my heart.
- Wonder Woman costume; I have to say that I fully intended to dress Luna up as Wonder Woman this year for Halloween, but I figured everyone else would so I’ll be going a different route. BUT Luna will have a day to dress up at school and this will definitely be what she will be wearing. How cute is this! I love that it is original, handmade and is not store bought. And so should you. 😉
- Game of Thrones makeup brushes; I know everyone is riding high on the GOT wave these days with the second to last season airing. Lord knows I am (how good was this week’s?!?!). I don’t know if I’d actually use these brushes to apply makeup, but they are absolutely beautiful. The one that really slays me? The hand of the king. So gorgeous! Bonus? They’re on sale!
Nerdy Must Haves
You didn’t think I had forgotten about this month’s must haves, did you?
Absolutely NOT.
1. Princess Leia leotards; I’ve already expressed my love for The Daily Threads on this blog often enough, but I just can’t stop raving about one of their newest designs: a tribute to one of the most kick ass princesses in the galaxy. I think it is the perfect outfit for your little one to rock while visiting any of the Disney parks or for a Star Wars themed party. I can’t wait to get one for little Lu.
2. Expelliarmus pennant; I cannot love this little pennant banner anymore. Sure, the pennant trend must be on its way out if the Target dollar spot is housing a bunch (wink nudge), but I’ll be damned if I don’t get one of these for some room of my house (I’ll find any excuse). Best part? It’s currently on sale!
3. Death Star heart pin; As everyone’s pin game continues to rage strong, I am working on compiling the most epic collection for my fandom jacket by the time I am visiting SDCC this year. It’s pretty amazing at the moment, but I feel like it could be so much better. That’s why I’m definitely adding this adorable Star Wars themed pin to it soon!
4. Legion on FX; This show totally sideswiped me, but I am completely and utterly obsessed. The styling, the imagery, the direction: everything is so flawless, it’s almost impossible to believe it is real. After seeing so many Xmen ventures tank, it’s really nice to see one done the way it should. Does anyone else already have a huge cosplay list just from the two first episodes?
Nerdy Must Haves: La Barbuda
So I don’t tend to make monthly Nerdy Must Have posts center around one shop, but that’s how amazing I find La Barbuda to be. I have followed and purchased from her shop for some time now but her designs and products have gotten progressively better and better. She totally slays the geek chic aesthetic and I am absolutely obsessed. I’m really truly sorry if you feel the same shortly after reading through this post {not really}.

What I Wore: A Star War
We had our last Geek Girl Brunch of the year opening weekend of Rogue One, so naturally, we made it a viewing brunch. Miami has a dine in theater that is now offering brunch items on their menu, so we went for it! As usual, I had a great time with my geek girls, but man – did that movie blind side me. Sure, you could tell me that I should have known better, but with everything that has been going on this month, I just really didn’t have time to think about movie plots or theories. I cried the.entire.time.
I don’t know if it was just poor timing after all the stress and anxiety I’ve been under after Luna’s hospitalization, but I just lost it. It felt good to have such an ugly cry session though – especially surrounded by nearly 20 other girls doing the exact same.

Nerdy Must Haves
Eat the Rude patch; this one is for all those Fannibals out there. One of the greatest lines ever, “eat the rude,” has become the take away quote for Hannibal fans. I think this patch would make the perfect addition to your fandom vest/jacket. If you are like me, and are putting together fandom-specific vests/jackets (currently working on my Sailor Moon one), then I suggest getting your hands on more affordable ones through AliExpress. Don’t say I never hooked you up, ladies! 😉
Potter Baby Bandana; something that really saved our lives and baby Luna’s style when she was suffering from severe acid reflux was baby bandanas. Rather than having her in an ugly and bulky bib when we would go out on the town, we would put one of these cute bandanas on and it would catch all the spit up, while not impeding on fashion (because duh, Luna has to keep up her reputation). This Potter ugly sweater one is so perfect for the upcoming holiday season. I’m not the only one swooning over it either, because it is currently sold out. Make sure to let PetiteGeekChic know you want more!
Kylo Ren print; all hail Nan Lawson! She has been one of my favorite artists for awhile now, and her work can be found scattered all over my house (most recently in Luna’s nursery), but she has been churning out some quality fandom prints lately. I featured her Kylo Ren, but she has a complimentary Rey (wouldn’t they look great facing each other???), an amazing Eleven, and this touching Snape print.
Stranger Things pin; if you are like me (and everyone who ingests pop culture like it’s air), you are a fan of Netflix’s Stranger Things. It’s everything that is good with the world, and makes my little 80’s heart happy. I am thrilled to see so many artists making swag to honor it, and I cannot wait to add this sweet Hopper pin to my collection.
