Friday night I was lucky enough to join the AgencyNet gang for a night of fun, which was all put together by the chairman of awesomeness, Omar. Seriously. That’s his title. The night consisted of pizza, booze and Monsters vs. Aliens 3D at the IMAX theater! I have to say that the movie was not the most spectacular thing in the world, but it was cute. The 3D really didn’t give it that much of a boost either. I would probably recommend a rental for this one. Although I’m pretty much in love with Insectasaurus, that big crazy looking thing in the photo above. I couldn’t help but think of my baby Boston, Gwen (if you know her, you understand). On that note, I move on to Saturday…
Every year, we have celebrated Brad-Pitt’s birthday at a local dog park with all our friends and their fuzzy ones. This year, since we now have two pups, we decided to combine their birthdays (Gwen’s 1st, Brad-Pitt’s 4th) and hold it at a new location. We had visited Bark Park at Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah before and completely loved it, so we decided to make it our choice for the party. It was a hit! The weather was beautiful, the park was massive (5 acres!) & fun for the dogs and everyone had a great time. I really wish it was closer to our home so we could take the dogs there more frequently because they really enjoyed the freedom (& the ability to run), which is the main downside to being a pet owner in an apartment. So if you live in the South Florida area and are looking for a great park, I highly recommend this one. Check it out! For more pictures from the party, click here.
Sunday we had a couple of friends over for beer, grilling and DVD’s. One of my Netflix arrivals was Flight of the Concords Season 1 and I decided to pop that in while we hung out. What an amazing decision. Yes, I am one of the few that had never watched a single episode of this show being HBO-less, but now I don’t know how I have lived without it. It is flipping hilarious and the humor is right up my alley. Unfortunately, I jumped on the bandwagon too late – the boys made a pit stop in Miami for their tour just a couple of weeks ago. Epic fail. I’ve also heard rumors that they most probably will not be back for a Season 3. Make that a double fail.
