Lovable Friday!

1. The Band from TV Gig

I am so excited that this Saturday I will be seeing Greg Grunberg, Adrian Pasdar and the rest of The Band from TV perform at the Shore Club on South Beach! I’ll be sharing the adventure with fellow Miami blogger, Rosy, and will definitely be taking as many pictures and videos as humanly possible to share with all of you on Monday! My fangirl switch has definitely been turned all the way to 10, but I also have to say that it felt good donating to charity (which I try to do as much as possible). For those of you that are interested, tickets are still available and can be purchased here! I hope to see some of you there!

2. Hysterically bad video of ZQ's infamous bungee jump

This one is for all of my fellow ZQ fans out there. Mr. Quinto appeared on Letterman a couple of weeks back to promote Star Trek (so awesome, go watch!) and he shared a story from the press junket in New Zealand, specifically about how he was terrified when he saw someone’s body fly past the window he was sitting by. He was informed that it was a controlled bungee jump off the tallest building in Auckland, which of course, made him want to do it himself. He promised video of the event and sure enough, it was posted to his blog. And it is hilarious. I really hope that this is how the video was edited and given to him because that terrible techno-Euro trash playing in the background is outstanding.

Love 21 Line

I think all of you know by now that I am a huge fan of Forever 21 – I can’t get over how fashionable some of their pieces are getting and how low the prices remain! And they have really been stepping up their game lately by introducing swimwear and a plus size line, which I know a lot of ladies were desperately aching for. But I was especially happy to see their splash screen today announcing that they will have a “contemporary” line coming soon called Love 21. Now usually the term contemporary when it comes to fashion makes me want to vom a little in my mouth, but Forever 21’s dresses can be a bit on the short side and don’t always fit a more “mature” frame (aka: I’m not 12 & still waiting to get my period) and I often wished they would make a line of clothes that would be a bit older when it came to lengths and cuts. Looks like I got my wish! I can’t wait to see what they’ll deliver – seems like an online Lookbook is in the works 🙂

4. At West End

I’m always up for finding new catalogues with items that you can’t really find anywhere else. At West End definitely satisfies that need! Unfortunately, their prices are pretty steep, but I would stalk their sale section for some amazing finds. Their style borders on rustic mixed with fun & modern, which I love and would like to integrate more into our home. After all, I love modern & kitschy pieces that make a house feel like a home rather than a cold laboratory. My absolute favorite item in the store? This recycled “Hello” pop art piece! For $29 I think it would make a great addition to our new patio decor (I am such a sucker for signage)!

5. Fringe Season 1 Finale
5. Fringe Season 1 Finale

Not to push aside the incredible LOST season finale, but Fringe has totally impressed me since it managed to be so freaking amazing in its first season. I really shouldn’t be surprised though, it is J.J. Abrams and you know how much I love that man and everything he creates (heh). The use of alternate realities, the fact that Peter Bishop is not the original Peter Bishop, Leonard Nimoy as William Bell and that last epic scene of Olivia & Bell in one of the Twin Towers really made it a mind-blowing season finale. I cannot wait to see what the guys have in store for us next season and I can only hope & pray that they will host a panel at Comic Con come July! If you love Fringe as much as I do, check out Fringe Television, a great fan site with a lot of fun facts and theories.

Haven’t been to F21 in ages because I doubt I’d fit into anything anymore, so I’m excited to see the Love and Faith lines. Any idea up to what size F21 goes up to? After seeing this post and browsing them online, I need to go shopping there pronto!

I’m really not sure how the sizing works – there should be a chart online though 🙂
    Good luck!
