I had a musical beginning to my weekend on Friday night thanks to my husband’s place of employment: Agency Net. Always a big fan of ANET events, I was really excited when they announced a karaoke night for employees and their significant others and friends. Although I really didn’t plan on singing (definitely not my strong point), I was having so much fun that I did partake in a few threesomes and group songs (although staying as far from the mic as possible). Don’t believe how hilarious & fun these people are? Check out the video under the jump:
Augi and I decided that we were in dire need of a date night and made plans to have a fun night on Saturday. We headed to the design district for a quick photoshoot at my favorite location (it’s a secret) and then made our way to Miss Saigon for a romantic & cozy dinner. Afterwards, we decided to head down to the movie theater to see what flick we could catch. The movie that was starting the quickest was Year One and being huge fans of Michael Cera especially, we were pumped. Yeah, not so much. The movie was terrible. We kept thinking it would get better as it went along but the jokes just fell flat continually. Half of the time, I didn’t even know what they were trying to get at. I’m all for stupid comedies (hello, Anchorman is one of my all time fav’s), but this movie just executed it poorly. I really wish we would have waited a little longer to see The Hangover instead.
But, despite the bad movie – we couldn’t have been happier to spend quality time together. Definitely something we have to do more often. 😉
Sunday was Father’s Day and I was really glad that I was able to spend it with my Dad this year as he usually goes out of town for the holiday. We had a great BBQ at my sister’s house and discussed some pretty big plans that I hopefully will be able to announce on the blog by next week.
We then went to celebrate with my in-laws by eating dinner at a new spot for us, Eight Ounce Burger Bar, on South Beach. I have to thank Bitchin Camero for the recommendation because it was amazing! If you are a burger fan, definitely check this place out. Although on South Beach, it doesn’t come along with the pretentiousness which is always greatly appreciated by my crowd. 😉 Unfortunately, I was still so stuffed from lunch at my sister’s that I couldn’t partake in the burger-eating so I hope to visit again very soon!
All in all, a pretty great weekend. Looks like I am going to have a very busy week ahead of me, so be patient with me – I will try my best to continue posting daily & regularly – even if it is something short & sweet!

I think it’s always pretty neat when work actually has cool functions like that.
