The first half of the weekend was all about family. My husband’s family was in from out of town for his grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary. It was lovely to reminisce about the length of their beautiful relationship through both stories and photos. I hope that Augi and I will be able to share such a milestone with our children and grandchildren one day. We spent the majority of the weekend with everyone, had a family photoshoot, attended a special mass and had a delicious family dinner at Trattoria Sole. It all made me realize how important family is and how lucky we are to have them around. Others are not as fortunate.
I am a True Blood fan. All my friends are True Blood fans. We have viewing parties. Cue a True Blood finale viewing party! Sunday was an epic win at my friend, James’, house. We drank beer, ate meat, played Rock Band and even had our own Glee moment set to the tune of Journey (wish someone had their Flip video on!). I also was finally able to put my Sprinkles red velvet cupcake mix to use thanks to the girls helping me out (baking in a bachelor pad is very difficult). The finale was great, but I’ve sworn not to post any spoilers (see, Ang??), so you are just going to have to take my word for it! Definitely a great way to end the weekend.
