I really love dress shopping (no secret on this blog), but I really hate how I often times have to pick the runners up because my favorites for events are usually way out of my price range. So I stroke them a few times, give them a kiss and then set them back on the rack. But I just discovered the site, Wear Today Gone Tomorrow, and I cannot wait to give it a try! The site is much like those seen for purses or even camera lenses – you get to borrow high-end designer dresses at 90% off for however long you’d like and then return them right back and pick up a new one! The lovely Paul and Joe Sister number above is one of the dresses on my current wish list and is only $34.50/week. Best part is I doubt I will need any of my dresses for more than one week as I’ll just be snagging them for special events like weddings, parties and showers. Has anyone used this site before? I plan on giving it a test drive next month so I’ll let you all know how it goes!
Perfect for that Valentine’s vibe, YumSugar (a site I have to bookmark) featured these absolutely delicious chocolate martinis. If I hadn’t already done my Valentine’s Day shopping, I would definitely be making some of these. They look like an evil milkshake of doom. So if you are like me, and making your own V-Day dinner, definitely check out the recipe and surprise your sweetheart! Or just make one for yourself to fill that chocolate fix all of us seem to have around this time of year. 😉
Aren’t Hallmark cards so boring? If you are sick of giving people the same old corny lovey-dovey cards declaring your love, check out KuroCo’s Etsy shop. They have a collection of hilariously cheeky cards that they have fondly named Stank Sentiments that will never fail to put a smile on your face. Unfortunately, you are pretty much too late to send any in time for the 14th, but think of stocking up for your next event like an anniversary or even a birthday!
These shots by Pat Dy Photography are absolutely gorgeous! I adore the ethereal look of her gown and hair floating under the water. I wish I would have been brave enough to stage a trash the dress like this! Beautiful crystal clear water also helps – these shots were taken in The Philippines. For more shots (and trust me, you want to see them), check out the rest of the post on Rock ‘n Roll Bride.
Although not necessarily fitting in with the clear Valentine’s Day theme of this week’s post, I couldn’t help but post about our next concert! The Black Keys are coming to The Filmore on South Beach on April 18th and thanks to the band’s presale, I was able to scoop up two tickets for the hubs and I. He is completely stoked – and so am I! I love their vintage nasty rock sound and am excited to enjoy it with not only the hubs but some pretty awesome friends. If you haven’t heard of them, check out their albums – they have quite a few!
