Saturday we went on a mini-road trip up to Orlando to pick up some white laminate flooring for the hubs’ office. Unfortunately, our IKEA doesn’t carry laminate flooring any longer and they refused to ship it down to our Sunrise location (which I thought was silly) so we just had to take matters into our own hands and drive up there to grab it ourselves! Since we were making the trek, we decided to make it worth our while by stopping in to Orlando’s new H&M at the Florida Mall. I wasn’t very lucky with clothes (either they didn’t have my size or it was ill-fitting), but was able to stock up on cute accessories including the two pairs of shoes above! The striped wedges were only $20, while the orange ballet flats were $10! I definitely cannot wait to have one of these closer to home! 😉
Sunday was Mother’s Day and we were able to spend time with both families, which is always a treat. We had a early afternoon BBQ at my sister’s home and then moved on to the hubs’ grandparents’ home in Hallandale for delicious snacks, lots of beer (lots) and good conversation. I hope all the mothers that read this blog also had a lovely day with their families and that everyone gave their moms the attention and love that they deserve. On a daily basis.

Awesome shoes! I’m glad to hear they opened an H&M in Orlando! I went to one for the first time last week when I was visiting Canada–loved their stuff! I got lots of cute tops, and hope to get some accessories, so I’ll have to visit this one too (even if it requires making a Disney trip out of it. Twist my arm.).

Love H&M! It’s definitely very hit or miss for me though – sometimes I can go in and find 10 fab things, other times I walk out with nothing. Also, a word to the wise: for myself and all my friends I’ve talked to, it’s normal to have to go up a size in a lot of their clothes. For whatever reason, a lot of it seems to run small, so don’t let it get you down if that happens to you. 😉
