Lovable Friday: Augi Edition

I decided to forgo the usual Lovable Friday lineup to feature my hubs. His birthday is Sunday and I wanted to show him a little blog love. After all, who doesn’t appreciate a little Internet lovin’?

At this point, I can’t imagine my life without one Agustin Sanchez. We have been together as a unit for 9 years, and married for almost 3. We are almost too alike – in fact, people used to tell me our relationship wouldn’t work out because we were basically the same person. Well, we sure did prove them wrong. But somehow, despite having so much in common, we are still two very distinct people. I’m all about unicorns, rainbows and glitter – he is all about cynicism, guitars and brooding. And it works. Well.

One of Augi’s best characteristics is that he is so selfless (kind of rare for only children). He is always thinking of me and putting me first. Something I unfortunately have yet to learn (blame my zodiac sign?). He definitely makes me want to be a better person and I think has made me a better person throughout our relationship. I don’t think anyone knows me better or loves me more. Or ever could or will. Plus, his talent is off the charts. He blows me away with his creativity on a daily basis. He’s blessed to not only have many hobbies, but blessed to excel in all of them. I have to admit, I get jealous. He can jam like it’s nobody’s business on the guitar (he won the jazz award in high school), take the most gorgeous photographs and design something tasteful and cutting edge in the blink of an eye. And when he’s ready to unwind, he can whip up a delicious dinner out of whatever is left in our cupboards and cuddle with the best of them.

I guess what I’m trying to say is, I’m kinda lucky.
