We don’t get to spend too much quality time with our cousins (everyone is just so busy), so we jump at the chance when the opportunity arises! That happened this past weekend when we went to Merrick Park to celebrate my cousin’s birthday. We had a great time, had a little too much to drink, and laughed a whole lot. Basically, a wonderful evening. I wanted to look stylish, but didn’t want to go the dress route, mainly for comfort (I’ve been so lazy lately). This little outfit definitely did the job just right!

That would be my rawr face.
ps; Did anyone else salivate at the TV last night waiting in anticipation to see the teaser trailer for The Hunger Games during MTV’s VMA’s? I just finished the first book (in about a day), and am working on book 2 and am completely hooked. I was so disappointed to see such a quick glimpse, but I have to remember that they are still filming the movie, so I can’t expect too much. If you haven’t read the series, get your hands on a copy immediately. It’s all sorts of wonderful. I just wish the Twilight comparisons would stop – there are absolutely none to be made (aside from a love triangle).

Good morning, I am all about skinny jeans/leggings and tunic tops – still. This style will never be old for me. Play date this weekend? Yes? Yes?

That’s b/c you look amazing in them! I, on the other hand, had to search high and low to find a pair that looked somewhat decent on me. I have others, but I look like a squeezed sausage in them – I’m so happy flares are making a comeback!
