Sonny Angels Addiction

I first stumbled on these adorable little naked angel dolls while searching for nursery inspiration on Instagram. Note to expecting mama’s: just say no. You’ll end up in debt before you know it. But anywho…I found these cute figures being used as children’s decor in almost every photo, and I instantly fell in love. If you know me, you know I’m not really a “collector,” but these I MUST have. I immediately ordered a few from Amazon and they came in their corresponding blind boxes. The thrill.

Now, there are separate Sonny Angels collections and some are limited edition. Certain collections are only available seasonally, and others are always at your disposal. It can be extremely addicting and I have found myself going down the rabbit hole – having my first experience with one flower, one fruit and one animal blind box. I immediately tore into them and found my first 3 little naked wonders.

Now that my collection has officially started, I have budgeted myself to buy only 2-3 a week from Amazon, and have even gotten some friends to do the same so we can trade if need be. I also love the next step of Sonny Angel collecting: housing or displaying them! I’ve found so many beautiful inspiration pictures, and decided to buy both a dollhouse display and regular shadow box to decorate from Oriental Trading. I will be painting both and then using graphic card stock paper found at Hobby Lobby to wallpaper each cubby for a fun pop of color.
