In what I thought was the most fun promotion ever, Clinique took to the streets in a food truck to hand out delicious popsicles and makeup from their new Summer in Clinique line. They hit different malls all over South Florida, but I joined them at The Falls. Unfortunately, the event was rained out, but that didn’t stop them from moving under cover and continuing the party.
The popsicles were absolutely delicious and provided by Chloe’s Soft Serve Fruit Co., which pride themselves on “keeping it real” with just fruit, water and a touch of organic cane sugar. Yes please! The makeup was also on par, with the truck showcasing some of the newest lippies from the Pop line!
Lucky for you all, I got to delve deeper and swatch the different shades so that I can share what they look like on with you guys!
The Pop Lacquer shades offer a luscious pop of liquid, high-shine color in one, full-coverage coat. It has a built-in primer that helps the color glide on effortlessly and is advertised to last for up to 6 hours. I have to say, I wore one of these shades during my vacation, and it did not last that long, but it was really beautiful. It’s been awhile since I’ve worn something so sticky and tacky, so it took some getting used to, but I love the fresh and youthful look it gives you. So perfect for a beach day!

The Pop Glaze line offers a pretty pop of bold yet see-through color + smoothing primer in one coat. This one is advertised to last for up to 8 hours and keeps lips comfortably moisturized instantly and over time. I haven’t worn these shades except to swatch, so I can’t give my opinion on what they are saying, but I can tell you all that these are really subtle and beautiful. I think they are the perfect lippies for the office or even when you don’t want to don a full face, but want to look pulled together. They give you just the right amount of color if you want to keep it simple.

The Pop line offers a luxurious yet weightless formula that merges bold, saturated color with a smoothing primer. It glides on effortlessly to a modern-velvet finish and stays true, while keeping lips comfortably moisturized for 8 hours. I also haven’t worn these colors outside of these swatches, but after wearing very drying lip products like those from Colourpop (which I ADORE, don’t get me wrong), it was a refreshing change to feel something so moisturizing on my lips. These are definitely my favorites from the bunch, with Punch Pop being the winner. It is the ultimate summer pink.

I also love that the packaging matches the lippies’ formula too! The mattes having matte cases, the glaze, a see through one and the lacquers are encased in shininess. Gotta love those little details that make Clinique the amazing brand they are today. I would definitely recommend checking out this new line, and the other goodies that I didn’t feature today, like the Cheek Pop and Lid Pop!
And a super huge thanks to Clinique for sending me all these goodies to review and inviting me to their awesome event.

These all look very cute, but I tend to prefer more pigmentation to my lip products. Like, if I’m paying for something I want you to SEE it. But I guess if these are supposed to be more like a tinted lip treatment that makes sense. I guess not everyone is into a BOLD lip as I am right now.

Love these! I can’t stand the high maintenance of deep pigmented lip products, this looks perfect especially with summer and already 100+ temps around here.

Haha, I can totally relate!

I love heavy pigmentation, but when I’m going for minimal makeup and a more laid back vibe, like when I went on a beach vacation, I really appreciated these more subtle hues. I guess it all depends on the situation.
